It's a good idea to solve every rune chest you come across since that's how you increase your health and rage meters. Gonna need that later in this game trust me, and auto targeting helps so much in boss or larger enemy fights. You're doing good, you got this. And hey, I was confusing controls well into the latter part of the game my first playthrough, so don't feel too bad about that, Lol

all the interesting lore stuff is in the codex, also seeing your reaction to the witches forest and the world serpent was awesome, and dont worry about missing stuff, you can eventually go back and get whatever you missed if you so choose

Also at 10:42 that n rune above your head is the kind of rune you need to hit to open the locked chest. Collect 3 chest to boost your health and rage.

PRO TIP >>> Sell all the toys & collectibles that you find to the Dwarves. There is no use for them later. Selling them gives more money to buy/upgrade gear, or items. And you do not need to wait until you collect all of a given set before you sell them.

Hello Mandy, hope you're doing well, I cannot BELIEVE you're playing God of War I think I heard you speak about it once or twice but wasn't sure if it was your type of game. If you want to know something funny, the previous entries like GOW 1, 2 and 3, the light attack botton used to be "square" as well so you might have this point in common with the new players who try this installment for the first time even if in your case, it's a 100 hour long FF7 Rebirth game habit hahaha. Hey Mandy will you prerecord your videos and have a chat at the same time like you did with Rebirth?? I mean I would like to talk to you, I want to learn how much you know about the other God of War games before this one (GOW 1,2,3, The Chains of Olympus, Ghost of Sparta and Ascention)?? no spoilers but I will say if you love this game ,when you are done, I recommend jumping right into Ragnorak, one of the best games I have ever played and it builds very nicely in all areas and much like Horizon Zero Dawn into Forbidden West I feel like God of War 2018 and Ragnorak are almost a continuation rather than seperate games (although both can easisly stand on there on) stopping here so I don't go into anything spoilery

Without spoiling anything you should try to convince me to finish Ragnarok. I've started it twice and got very frustrated with decisions that atreus was making. But I love God of war 2018 so so so much so please convince me to go back and finish Ragnarok

@@jwhitely7 I understand that, without spoilers the only thing I can think to say is think about his age and when you where that age, he is learning, growing, and trying to figure out who he is in some serious circumstances....there is a lot of character growth from all returning characters and its part of why I love the game so much...if you like the battle system and everything/everyone else lean into the other things while the growth that occurs over 70 hours (for me) its an emotional rollar coaster with great game play and some of the biggest emotional moments I've experienced in any game (I have the platinum and I'm not a trophy hunter)....that is what it is for me but I also acknowledge not everyone enjoys what I do

Well that makes 5 gold chests that you just walked away from...no health increase, no rage increase, no runic attacks...no nothing. You don't need to be a completionist...but you should atleast make sure you do what is necessary to survive in the game...that includes opening & collecting the gold chests. Those glowing blue letters are supposed to be broken so that you can open the chests.

@@mandersnatch Well they're vital to your survival (gold chests) so that might be something you wanna put at the top of your "to do list". It will be a very very rough ride for you if you don't make it a priority.
