I understand exactly what you are saying,and i basically agree with it.I respect straight edge kids although I'm not straight edge myself,but i like the scene a lot and what straight edge promotes,but the kids who go out of their way to flaunt it are doing it for all the wrong reasons.They're doing it to show off and tell people.If they are really in it for themselves then they wouldn't give a fuck,and just be happy being themselves and know that they're straight edge.They turn it into a gang:(

Dude nothing beats that old metalcore shit. All the stuff from 2000-2008 was the best shit. I still listen to old metalcore like the first Killswitch album and bands like Unearth, Botch, Dillinger Escape Plan, and the that old album by ABR is fucking amazing

Also they have a point about people being below the age of legal drinking and stuff because as much as you think you have plenty of temptation it's not until you are of legal age where it gets worse. Francisco Meneses what’s wrong with Christian hardcore? Under oath, zao, Alexisonfire and a few more are excellent bands. I grew up in the 90s and was in high school in the early 2000s and back then there were a lot of Christian hardcore bands. Hardcore was amazing back then compared to 2008 to present.
