🎉Hey South Georgia Girl, It's me, Middle Georgia Girl! Lol, Sorry but I just had to do it! Even though ẅe don't know one another from Adam, I wanted just to say Hey, anyway! So, Heyyy! This Scalloped Potatoes recipe may well replace my Mac & (All the) Cheese in the World recipe! Or will now be in addition to the Mac & All the Cheese in the World side dish! One can never have too many potatoes and or cheesy side dishes, especially at Thanksgiving or Christmas! That's what January and February are for, right? To lose those few #LB's we may have added on in Nov. and Dec, Lol!😂😂😂 Sending Much Love and Many Blessings to your Family and Friends and may this coming New Year find everyone Happy, Healthy and Prosperous! And to our Oh So Woonderful Hosts and Honoràry Family at The Little Hill Homestead, I Pray for you all the above as well, be returned to you, and all of your viewers Tenfold! XOXO's Georgia ❤❤❤ PS, It is going to be so Hard to wait to make these potatoes until next week! I'm thinking Lunch....Today!!! 🤣😅🥰🥰🥰

Yay! You saved us! We are having our Famiy Thanksgiving/Birthday Dinner tomorrow. My stepdaughter and I share the say day! How awesome is that?! Anyways.... get off the soap box and bunny trail....🤦♀️ We are to bring Scalloped Potatoes. We were lost on finding a recipe as this was my husband's mom's dish she always brought. She recently passed away so the holidays will be tough this year. We have to wing and create our own as the recipe wasn't found in her handwritten recipes. It was a recipe she had in her mind.....🥺 So... Thank you guys for sharing this recipe! ❤

Odd size measuring spoons are so great, can cut time by 1/2. I portion out things by the spoon and these have been a saver. Those taters look really good. I stopped eating scalloped because boxed just did not cut it and could not find a good home made one I liked. This looks like something I am going to like. Thank you.

I’m all in for this! Usually when I make potato I have to make colcannon (fab fam face Irish dish) because my mom needs the cabbage as potatoes are binding. Would onion in the scalloped potatoes be incorrect or should I make another thing to counteract the potatoes? Shawn, you are fabulous on camera. Don’t sell yourself short.
@LittleHillHomesteadGa3 күн бұрын
Onion in this recipe would be amazing! Shawn suggested that you lightly caramelize one onion in a pan while the potatoes are boiling in the cream mixture and once the onions are soft, add them in give it a stir before you put it in the pan to bake in the oven. You will have to email me your recipe!
@katescaringcorner67653 күн бұрын

Hooray 🎉 finally Shawn's scalloped potato video! Definitely ran out and got the stuff to tru these for dinner. Mandalins are very scary...I agree! Ali did you get attachments with your rotary cheese grater? Mine came with several and there's a slicer one. Literally takes 2-3 complete turns of the handle to slice a potato evenly and with no blood! I would recommend Shawn try it. Of course our twins always wanna do the geater/slicer for me when they are home. Excited to try these Scalloped Potatoes!! Thank yall so very much Ali and Shawn!!

I make my scalloped potatoes quite a bit like this and you are right they are the world's best the main thing I do different is while I'm slicing potatoes I do a bag or two at a time and then I freeze dry them and it cuts the time in more than half to make them when you already have the potatoes all cut up.😊

Several years ago I had surgery on my right (dominant) hand. I was determined to not be helpless so, I decided to slice up (on a mandolin) a cucumber to snack on! Of course I had to use my left (non-dominant, previously useless) hand. Shortly after, I found myself at the nearest ER to have the skin on my middle finger knuckle sewn back on! Result? Helpless! I have a story about my son’s first experience with a mandolin…too soon?

So your son doesn't like rosemary . One of my grandsons ( 23 yrs old ) is a very picky eater . Some of his favorite foods that I make have something that he hates in it . But he doesn't know that . He has asked me to share with him how to make them , but I won't do that . I told him I'll let him know on the day of my funeral . His most favorite food is my pizza burgers ( I make no less then a 100 of them at a time ) The secret is a can of creamy mushroom soup mixed in the sauce . LOL What they don't know won't hurt them .
