On tomato paste open both ends of the can, remove one lid then push the other end(lid) to the other end. It pushes all the paste out without waste or much work.

When you do this you can also slice the little “log” into tablespoon sizes and freeze for when you need only a small amount.

I just bought myself a label maker and let me tell you it's a God send. I can so much each year and I've been having issues with my hands so I knew I couldn't write on each and every jar lid so I ordered the Phomemo thermal label maker from Amazon. It's pink. Hey Jenn, It just occurred to me when you guys are tasting the sauce. Remember that the sauce will be way less when it cooks down so you may end up putting in enough spices for a big pot instead of a half pot. Hope that helps. Loving the big kitchen 😋

I always add carrots to my spaghetti sauces to give it a naturally sweeter taste and husband gets his carrots in without knowing it. What was that pepper you like, I could make it out and replayed the video but still couldn't get it. I think I need one of the turkey roaster too. Wow Jen, U have done a lot! Yes that's true, a proven fact, u r not supposed to do canning certain times of the month. That sauce looks delicious! I put olive oil in my spaghetti sauce. U can use that sauce for meat loaf too and stews and lasagna and shells with ricotta. I would probably omit the peppers for the kids sauce. Yummmy!

This looks good. I just picked 200 pounds of Roma tomatoes, processing today. I have a Sicilian Marinara Sauce I make that is delicious on my channel. I pressure can my Marinara. Water Bath Canning is only safe for just tomatoes( with Basil & garlic). I know generations have done it this way but we have both knowledge and equipment now to make certain we are Canning as safely as possible. 💜🤗

I've been so busy with work and...unfortunatley my mom was diagnosed with cancer recently so we've been trying to navigate that, plus in school learning is begining again next week for us, and I've got one started freshman year and one starting Kindergarten....all while running the wedding planning business! I have found that if you remove as many tomato seeds as possible will make sauce thicker. That's what I do when making ketchup and pizza sauce. Just a suggestion. Going to try this next year. Thanks

If the vinegar is reduced or you but the glaze instead, it's very sweet. If you reduce it yourself, watch it closely.

@@heirloomcottagedesigns9063 I love regular balsamic with a strawberry, blue cheese, pecan salad. There's also a strawberry dessert made with balsamic that I've not tried. I actually prefer it and rice vinegar over white vinegar

I was able to barter for some organic dried cranberries so have added them to a lot different types of foods. One I have used them in is spaghetti sauce. Cuts the acid bite and gives it a sweet taste without adding a lot of sugar.

You can add Heinz Chilli sauce to it if you want.

Well that is just silly about "that time of the month".. I am in my 50's, and have been canning since 18. I have never had bad results during that time. If I didn't do it, nobody would since my husband worked on the road. LOL The sauce looks amazing though!

I'm single, so I did my tomato pasta sauce in pint jars. I got 22 for my basement pantry.

I watched this video and got brave. We are a couple with grown children so we don't need as much food at one time. I've made 17 pints for this next year. It is amazing! I'd never thought to put squash in my sauce. Thank you so much for sharing your video with me.

Is it water bath canned with all that zucchini in there? I was under the impression that it would have to be pressure canned🤷♀️

@@terriwilliams1600 I know she added acid (lemon juice) which is required for water bath canned tomatoes anyway… but 🤷♀️
