This engine had couple of issues. Very strong carbon build up. Mainly all those Eco stuff hurts the engien. Every diesel need good pushing once a week. And it will be ok

Also with the starter motor that is attached to the gearbox 😂. The engine bay is super tiny.

@14DENISS88 yep. Shame as potential of it is amazing. All those restrictions to make all combustion engines ECO really damaged them. But with a bit of care can make them last long. :)

Definitly one to consider if I fancy a change. Was eyeing up the 3.0 v6 before I bought the XFS tbf… They are a marmite car though….

I got bmw 840d xdrive grand coupe . 2 tones and average is 38mpg. Motorway around 50mpg normal drive.

With a diesel the smaller your engine the worse the economy will be.

@@terryo5672 I just bought a 535d e61 in May bloody amazing car, have just replaced the turbos and mapped it to just over 400bhp, it’s now doing 34mpg lol but it’s bloody rapid 🤣 Review is on my channel more coming soon 💪🫡
