Do your home work… The Airbus A380 is a very large wide-body airliner, developed and produced by Airbus. It is the world's largest passenger airliner and the only full-length double-deck jet airliner. Airbus studies started in 1988, and the project was announced in 1990 to challenge the dominance of the Boeing 747 in the long-haul market. The then-designated A3XX project was presented in 1994; Airbus launched the €9.5-billion ($10.7-billion) A380 programme on 19 December 2000. The first prototype was unveiled in Toulouse on 18 January 2005, with its first flight on 27 April 2005. It then obtained its type certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on 12 December 2006.

The A-380's biggest / dumbest drawback is is that there is no provision for freight. Every successful air transport aircraft earns much of its income from mail and from other underfloor freight. Way more than can be earned from underfloor passengers.

The A380 is an engineering and air travel marvel, but it is serving a market that doesn't exist any longer. When the 747 was the king of the skies, the airlines were using the "hub and spoke" system, where one large airplane could connect distant hubs while smaller airplanes shuffled local passengers into the "hubs". When Boeing developed the 787, it was a "hub buster" by serving the outlying cities point to point, bypassing the hubs and not requiring the airports to modify their facilities. Boeing saw the handwriting on the wall, Airbus did not.

“Worlds Largest Airplane” Bro, Its the (Destroyed/Being Built) AN225 and also, you didn’t say what type of airplane
@emilefouquet9005Ай бұрын
The only reason aircraft manufacturers build huge aircraft, is to maximize their 'Profits' on 'Passenger Miles'. The same applied to Boeing's 747's. Boeing's 707 and 727 Aircraft were excellent however the revenue they produced for the airline was much lower compared to the 'Big Pigs'. In the event of some catastrophic failure, the smaller lighter aircraft is far better to recover. The Required Landing Distances are also greater than the smaller aircraft. The notion that bigger is better, is stupid and false. Money, Money, Money is what dictates, never Safety or Performance !

Now Einstein ,would you travel by road from New York to Los Angeles in a small Korean made car ,a Hyundai I-30, no !!! you take a,59 Caddy Eldorado, or a 62, Roller Phantom .

This guy dose NOT know what he is talking about the a380 ended production because as time goes on new technologies and ways for fuel efficiency and low-cost maintenance are developed so more companies will go for those options this guy describes it as if maintenance costs are stupidly high per flight and you can’t expect it to use less fuel as other aircraft’s if it carries double the amount of people I feel that they can make a better version of it and might in future as some ideas have already been proposed but for carrying cargo they won’t focus on that much considering they have planes like the BelugaXL still in production and they are currently trying to produce a lightweight low-emissions plane with durable and sustainably sourced materials like bio-fibres so it doesn’t mean airbus is probably going to and and the a380 maybe coming back better in the seeable future
