Most expensive gum in the world :- the one that was chewed by RDJ
@Sedef208 Жыл бұрын
For the people who don’t know why it’s so expensive it’s because it's very hard to grow and harvest mastic gum. Mastic gum is a resin that comes from the leaves of the mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus), which grows in the Mediterranean region, particularly Greece. It's harvested once every seven years, and there are only about 200 trees left on Earth. Plus even the royal families buys these gums Edit: And yes In Greece I’m aware of the fact it is quite cheap there but it’s kinda expensive In other countries I’m sure and it’s sold out from where I’m from

@mastika_gum Жыл бұрын
Yes and No, our brand is considered to be expensive due to the fact that we are using Natural Mastic in our flavor, and as you said it's expensive to get due to its rarity, and our company is well known within the Royal Families due to our Premium quality and due to the fact that our flavor last for approx an hour comparing to other brands. That's excluding of course our branding and the classiness of MASTIKA tin.

More info: Originally Mastic was only produced in Chios, Greece. But in 2006 Turkey planted several thousand Mastic trees in Çeşme which is 8 nautical miles from Chios and has similar ecological conditions. Mastika is a Turkish company, the Mastic is sourced from Çeşme. According to a 2021 analysis, the Turkish Mastic lacked 3 main health benefiting antioxidant and anti-inflammatory components, this could be due to genetically modified saplings. So in the end you're paying a crazy price for a sub par product when you can just get original Greek Mastic for cheap.

So, for fellow nerds like me, mastic is actually an aromatic gum or resin that's excreted from beneath the bark of the Mediterranean tree Pistachia Lentiscus of the Pistachia Genus. It is a shrub like tree that is cultivated mainly for this substance on the Greek island of Shiosh off the west coast of Turkey. Guys you don’t need to pay a fortune for that. Mastiha or mastic in English comes originally from island of Chios, Greece. We use that in raw form mainly in the food, and you can buy it fairly cheap. However, if you buy the pure version of it, it’s quite hard to chew it at the beginning but soften up slowly.
