When I was in highschool back in the 70's I had a case of plantar warts that make this case look mild. I had a large wart on my heel and ignored it for over 2 years and then suddenly my feet just exploded with warts. Took 2 long sessions of cauterizing them to remove them. The first session I was given novacaine injections but they hurt so bad I refused the novacaine for the second session. Approximately 35 on one foot and over 50 on the other. Never ignore all plantar wart , you will regret it.

@@phillipaclark1832 Just soak your feet/foot in warm/hot water with about 1/2 cup of household bleach and a few drops of dish soap for aprox 15 to 20 minutes. repeat next day. I had discovered this by accident, I had a planters wart on thumb and cleaned a large coffee urn at work with bleach, dish soap and hot water. A week later my planters wart on thumb was gone. then later had one on foot did mentioned treatment and gone a week later, no pain or discomfort or hole, just disappears.

I kept my foot clean, twice daily footbath, never wore synthetic shoes always leather cotton or wool socks. The warts started to die back and left behind what looked like uncooked rice (no it was not maggots!). Kept my food dry. They all cleared but it took ages. Caught from school changing rooms for gym/swimming.I do hope they clear up soon for this boy.

When I was a kid I specifically remember I had 8 in each foot (16 total). Went to Dr. Ron whom practiced in my little community of 1,500 for well over 40 years. He ended up injecting every single wart with something, no clue what it was. It worked flawlessly but to this day it was the single most painful experience of my life. The receptionist at the front of the building ran back and busted in the room to see what all the screaming was about.
I had no idea this was real! My son's burn ointment was called Mayonnaise! It worked great. Put it on with a tongue depresser. Then wrapped with gauze then what looked like elastic bandage. No scars! No loss of foot.

We’ve been struggling with my childs feet (almost as bad as this) since he was eight years old and he will be 20 this year. We have spent thousands of dollars and we have seen several specialists besides the pediatrician and regular docs. He has seen two dermatologists and a podiatrist besides his pediatrician and regular doctor. They have done the beetle juice, freezing, cutting, duct tape, acid under the duct tape, buzzing them off cutting them off and they come back and are worse than ever now. Hot water soaks as well. They are extremely painful. We need a miracle!

When I was a kid i had them like that on one of my heels. There were over 20 of them that consumed my whole heel. I was trying to pick what I thought were thornes out of my foot which I was told were blood vessels. Not sure what it was. It was painful to walk on and I would walk on the ball of that foot. I can only imagine what this kid was feeling when he walked. But they only had one way to treat them at the time was to put some sort of acid solution on them once or twice a week. Do you think it was the same acid ? Cutting them out wasn't an option for that doctor. Each visit they would soak my foot in a pool of warm swirling water then peel off any dead skin and re-apply for weeks until the warts were gone. They would bandage my whole heel . They never came back and I only had them on the one heel. I had stepped on a sticker bush with bare feet. Back in the early 80's I went barefoot a lot, not anymore LOL . From then on I wore better foot ware. I would guess that wearing shoes with good moisture wicking socks might help if the problem comes back. I never wear shoes without socks anymore because when you don't wear socks the shoe makes my feet sweat and stink. We live near the water so sometime we would wear shoes in the water.

Recently my son with diagnosed with one large plantar wart and 19 small plantar warts on his right foot. I'm not sure if his podiatrist did a biopsy, but he did put cantharidin on my son's warts. He said there is a chance they may need to surgically remove the large one. When or should I involve a dermatologist while he is being treated by his podiatrist?

My dad had sweaty feet all the way before "manopause" (LOL) and my mom used to leave his shoes outside to air out. He has worn wool knitted socks (made by his mom first, then my mom) all his life and that truly makes things way better. Plus they aren't that "restrictive" on the legs as regular cotton or athletic socks are. Dad has veins visible on his skin (on top of the skin, I forget the terminology) and the less restrictive, the better (he has no pain from it, he just can't wear anything restrictive, which is why the doctor recommended to leave it alone).

My daughter had them so bad, that they said she would need surgery. Our podiatrist tried one last ditch non-invasive effort. He gave us a formaldehyde compound called formadin or something, and told us to apply it to each wart every day with a cotton ball. We did it for two weeks while we scheduled the surgery (she had over 30 planter’s warts) amazingly, they all completely disappeared. I was so relieved that I cried. He said that some people sweat from their feet so excessively that it makes the warts take hold and spread. She was a preteen then, just beginning puberty, and now doesn’t have a problem with extra sweaty feet- and no more warts!

I once had a cluster of 23 warts on the ball of my left foot. They went away on their own in about 18 months. I had a single huge wart in the arch of my right foot years earlier.

Crazy thing is, I've had these on my feet from wearing steel toe work boots 12 hours a day, and with me simply continuously debriding them at home, they would go away within a week, with no topical treatment needing to be applied. I see so much information about them, but could never understand how mine would always go away so easily. Still, Fantastic job. Doing the most you can with what resources you have available to you.

I had intractable mosaic plantar warts on the balls of my feet, which responded to nothing, not cutting, freezing, liquid preparations. Finally what cured them was simple ultrasound. I put my feet in buckets with an ultrasound device on the bottom. I kept the affected areas as close to the device as possible, and the next morning? GONE! They were cured!!!

I was treated for these as a child, but I only had three on the ball of my left foot just behind big toe. But back then the Dr. Took and dipped very sharp tooth picks in Beatle juice then stabbed the worts several times per visit. It was like five visits over months. But it's never come back. But I still remember the pain of those picks popping through calluses and into raw flesh!

As a nurse I know that the big problem with any kind of wart is you must must must remove the thing totally especially the root of it you must get all the root removed or it will continue to come back and spread besides over and over again . That being said , I’m age sixty seven now an when I was in 7th grade years ago , I had planter warts all over both my feet that would make this persons feet look healthy as a horse ! They were very painful in fact so painful I could not walk without tears rolling down my face every time I had to be on my feet , I could barely even walk , and my gym teacher at school was making me run on them ! My mother finally took me to the Dr . He in fact gave me a series of injections in both my feet all around the warts , and he told me to be off my feet for a month period . An these injections dissolved the warts root and all ! An after a month they were completely gone An I’ve never had any of them again ! An I did have to stay off my feet for that month an the Dr .wrote a note to that effect to the school and so my gym teacher had to comply , and she was ticked off at me for it so she punished me every day for a month at school by making me write several hundred times I wouldn’t play this kind of trick again , by making me write several hundred word reports on different parts of the body , by making me stay after school in detention an on an on . An no one came to my defense . But , the shots worked and I’ve never had that awful experience again , thank the good Lord for that mercy !

My doctor when I had a much much worse case, treated some warts that had developed on my hand and left the plantar warts alone. 6 months later all plantar warts were gone.

I picked up plantar warts from a locker room floor in high school. I had a couple cut out, but they came back. I put vitamin E cream on them and covered them with a bandaid. Did this multiple times until the seed turned black and fell out. They never came back. Same thing happened to my son. Did this same treatment. It worked and they never came back for him either.

This is nowhere near as bad as my daughter’s feet when she was about 8. Her whole pinky toe was covered completely, all the warts convalesced together. Then they were all over the bottom of her foot. She has them lasered off, they came right back. Then about 6 months later they went away and she hasn’t had any since. It was terrible, I felt so bad for putting her through the laser treatment.

Beetle juice? As in a real beetle? How was this discovered treatment for plantar warts? It's really cool! Patient did so well for being just seven, it must have been your charming personality again. I also cannot believe biopsies are so expensive. I hope and pray this family gets some type of medical insurance. Thanks for sharing, learn something new every day from you! 🙌👣🦈🙏

I use the plastic cones that go on the lamp doctors use to look inside ears. I use it as a funnel into witch I put liquid freezer, the stuff that you buy at electronic supply house, it comes in a spray can and is used to cool down electronic boards. The funnel holds the liquid on the wart until it's evaporated, it freezes white and you repeat the process every day until the wart is burnt. It stings a bit bur works like the treatment doctors do with liquid nitrogen, but at a much lower cost.
