I did some volunteer work for a museum with a Japanese tank and had to get inside. At six four, its a little tricky, but the turret doesn't have the usual geared rotation. Its so light you just grab the turret and swing it around. Likewise the gun itself is in a separate pintle and was aimed with a shoulder stock. This means the gunner/commander's body was stabilizing the gun on the move, somewhat useful for the main armament. Sadly it couldn't have been more than a short barreled 37mm.

The plane will work the same as the ones in MoW worked. Assault squad on the desert airfield map had the 109s you could fuel them and get them in the air with a lot of fuel drums and spacebar shinianigans. A standard move order basically tells them to move there and go to ground level. They are basically direct control only if you want it for more than 20 seconds. Surprised Bo didn't just use it as a spotter for finding arty and such like from super high up since that stops 90% of AA shooting it down. Gotta love the jank with them, been there since way back and nobody has managed to make planes replicate a result without railroading them.

Japanese equpiment was pretty good altough tanks wearn’t a focus and as such wear well lacking because well a 1933 light tanks won’t do much againts a sherman

@@trueblindman647 japanese equpiment was exellent argubly the best hmg because it was always cooled the arkisaka rifle was also a very good rifle there ration wise that was more of a problem of japanese thinking and american naval superiority(japanese military thinking belived that providing just rice would be enough and that the solider would scavage for the rest which sometimes worked fine but other times went horible,as for canibalism yeah that also happened when the IJA wasn’t starving some officers commenting that the human liver was a luxury and that eating your enemies is for good “health”) As for the sherman towards the end of the war the japanese realised there mistake and did have attempts of tanks that would better match up to the sherman specks with tanks like the type 3 chi nu reserved for the defence of the homeland which had a 75 mm gun cable off knocking out a sherman from the front from long distances altought not the uparmored jumbo varient(that was not used in the pacifice altough when germany surendered the plans wear made for the jumbo to reach the pacifie front)

Regarding the kamikaze infantry, I don't have Gates of Hell, but it says in the lower-right corner while you're controlling a dude, that you can hit F1 while manually controlling the unit to make him blow up. Also, they might've changed this from Assault Squad, but the Japanese infantry at least USED to be mad OP (if in the right hands) because they start with traps and giant-mega explosives on almost every soldier. You could've used their silly overkill-HE explosives to decimate the enemy's light armor in this case, though that's usually not possible if the light armor has a machine gun and knows you exist lol Then you can use the traps to kill off infantry trying to flank the map edges..
