I'd have said the worst thing about SSA or Giants is the lack of a jump button, it really detracts from fight complexity.

Did you play the 3ds games or sum? Superchargers is the only game that makes you take damage by falling off the edge. And Trap team, superchargers and maybe Imaginators is the only games that actually allowed you to fall off the edge without invisible barriers

@@uzoqe I didn’t play the 3DS games but SSA and Giants took health away when falling off the edge Swap Force made it so that doesn’t happen when you fall off the edge and the rest of the games continued with that

my opinions: SSA (Worst: Worst Postgame, Best: Tied Roster with Imaginators) Giants (Worst: Gimmick, Best: Levels) Swap Force (Worst: Longest in the series, Best: Gimmick) Trap Team (Worst: needing 24 figures at a MINIMUM to 100%, Best: Bosses) Superchargers (Worst: 2nd Worst bosses, imaginators' are worse, Best: Story, 2nd best Gameplay due to the variety of having 4 gameplay styles and being able to play as all skylanders up to superchargers without any major nerfs) Imaginators (Worst: Levels, Bosses, Story, Music, 2nd worst figure requirements (needing 23 to 100 percent, Best: Tied Roster with SSA)

@@mranima748 nope you need 10 tra masters, 10 traps (kaos doesn't count to any level stars), and the 4 adventure packs because only this game and imaginators counts them to the 100% counter on your save

Yup. Completing Trap Team is such a hastle. Atleast with Spyro's Adventure and Swap Force, you can find cheap bundles to get a lot of cores and swap force characters. Giants, you really only need 1 giant and your other Skylanders for the gates. But trap team, oh my lord. The Light and Dark figures, expansions, and traps alone will cost more than everything needed to beat the previous games. Especially the traps. Superchargers, I dunno what is needed to 100% the game. Some people have said just 3 vehicles (land, sea, and air)? And Imaginators is the worst at it, too much to 100% it

@@dr.boring7022 imaginators is actually only the 2nd worst to 100 percent your save figure requirement wise. You need a sensei of every element, ro-bow, wild storm, crash and cortex which adds up to 11 senseis. You also need 10 creation crystals and the 2 adventure pack pieces. So 23 figs are required, You also need to get all imaginite sets though which means a ton of grinding. (Trap Team has 10 traps, 10 trap masters, 4 adv packs, so 24 figs required). Don't ask why adventure packs are counted trap team and imaginators are the only games which count them

SSA’s biggest sin is that the 360 and PS3 versions are horrendous compared to the Wii & Wii U versions. Swap Force’s biggest sin was Rufus.

The worse thing in ssa is the god awful kaos Boss fight and its not even close I hated it Cuz it was so bloody tedious And it had me Dodging Three elemental hydra,s at once Without dropping kaos Remoting once

Love it when any "Large Game" (be it Pokémon , Monster Hunter etc.) has a Gimmick, and it's Optional❤......... The Fact that S. Trap Team makes a big halloooo (calling) around traps, and they're not mandatory to progress, is cool 👑!! I just wish😂 some other large estabilished games would make it so that their gimmick isn't Mandatory❤ Such as Pokémon X&Y Mega Evolution 🔥 or Sun & Moon's Dancing for powered up moves. Or Gigantamax... Or even the Terrastalization!😮 Just make up your mind Pokémon! I mean sure 😂 you don't have to use Mega Evolution, or Gigantamax, or Terrastalization😢 but then "you're missing out on the gimmick". I am a Video Game researcher 😂 ❤ by the waaay.

I'm gonna give my personal takes without mentioning the story or irl monetary factors. Just gameplay elements alone. SSA: Worst thing for me is Heroic Challenges. None of them are fun, and some of them legitimately do not function. I have never cleared Boomer's because it consistently fails to load the sheep properly. Best thing is the enemy variety. Newer Skylanders games sort of feel like each enemy is pointless because they either go down in seconds or trade massive bulky health for easily avoidable shockwaves. SSA's enemies don't instantly perish, so you have to engage with what they do. Giants: Worst is the glitches. People complain about TT, a game I have never once had glitch for me, but my Wii copy of Giants is either defective or people have a really rosy look at it. I got consistent freezes, softlocks, and crashes while playing a casual run through adventure mode. Best is the collectible content. Not only is it fun to collect the new Wow Pow upgrades, but this game also cemented that returning Skylanders won't need their soul gems recollected, meaning every new SG you collect is meaningful and distinct from the previous game. Skystones is at its peak in this game, and I love story scrolls. SF: Worst to me is, yes, the absurd commitment to each level. Makes 100% a slog. Best is the actual subject OF each level, though. While Wilikin Village from Giants is my favorite, the level theming, environmental storytelling, and stage gimmicks within Swap Force have all the same creativity and memorability as Superchargers, but without the horrible vehicles. TT: Worst to me is that a majority of playable villains are trash. I love this gimmick the most out of any, but only Doom Raiders and Kaos get a third move, and most normal villains are simply too underpowered or simple to find worth in. Best to me is the characters added in the figure lineup. Trap Masters are my favorite gimmick team, and the new cores tend to be pretty fun- I played as some while doing co-op, so my friend being a trap master meant I didn't have to fight the game's poor balancing. SC: Worst is the vehicles. Just everything about them, everything surrounding them, everything they do to the game. I have more respect for SC after a more recent replay, but I still detest the vehicle segments. They were also pretty buggy for me sometimes. There's a sea gate I haven't beaten yet because the camera got locked in an incorrect position and kept warping me back to the same spot forever. Best is the figure balancing. This is the only game where the gimmick team has no real claim over the level design, and has no insane balancing issues, meaning I actually reject playing as most new characters in this one to treat it as an all-stars title. I don't particularly care for most of the new characters here anyway. Ima: Worst is the customization grinding. Playing this game for hours upon hours earns you still just a fraction of the customization options. I love making new creation crystals, but you have to sink ridiculous amounts of time into the game to earn more meaningful outfits and stuff. I've probably played Imaginators more than anyone else- I have hundreds of clears on the arena, for instance- and I still have yet to claim all the imaginite rewards. Best is the moveset of the Senseis. Imaginators themselves tend to have pretty lame moves as a tradeoff for their absurdly broken level cap, but Senseis feel fair while also having hands down the most fluid and engaging move pools out there. If Skylanders kept going, I'd love to see this improved character design philosophy become a standard for all figures going forward.

Alright. Okay. The worst thing about every Skylanders game is how I’m forced to Nuzlocke my characters and/or start again. The best part is hearing the sweet voice acting and do I have to mention Drill X having a cool boss theme? I love upgrading the Skylanders to their full potential.

0:34 no it’s nostalgia bias, think of Pokémon, why are magikarp, charizard, pikachu, meowth, and eevee so iconic. It’s not because they lack gimmicks or they are simple, it’s because they have been in the most games and the most popular parts of the branding

Have to disagree with that as I literally started playing this series this year so I have 0 nostalgia bias, yet most of my collection is SSA characters because of the more appealing designs.
