THANK YOU. I hate how the internet ruined beginner artists.. what happened to unique? Now all of the art looks the same. I always hated the art style too it’s just plain ugly ..

There's of course nothing wrong with taking inspiration and parts of art style, but yes it's the uniqueness aspect and rarely does anybody who does the art style have a strong set of fundamentals! Therefore they're all copy and paste and don't look the greatest.

I actually like the original artstyle before people ruined it. It was cute and unique but now it became so unoriginal and boring. I kinda feel bad for the og now that people are hating on the artstyle and milking the hell out of it.

Yea absolutely agree, its just the trend aspect of the artstyle i don't like and then it gets all the beginner artists to jump on it and it's just not original

The bottom eye thing is called aegyo sal, which is a popular Korean makeup style. I’m pretty sure the style got popularized on tiktok from like a couple rlly talented artists, then suddenly people left and right started drawing like this. The issue is it takes rendering, which many people did without having down the fundamental basics of art. (I’m speaking from experience because i used to draw in the jelly art style before i grew out of it) The style became less unique overtime and lacked a lot of emotion so i guess it sort of formed a bad rep for itself. I totally get why people wouldn’t like it, looking at my old attempts in this art style i HATE how it looks due to the severe lack of originality.

Yes! My friend had shown me the style after watching my video and now i understand the origin. You're absolutely right, it is the rendering and art fundamentals that lead to this wave of bad jelly art.

I think it's just a trend to attempt this art style, almost non of the artist you showed have more drawings like that. You can just not like it and that's ok, I just don't see the point at "hating it" like if the art style is disrespectful in some way, it's just boring to watch. Besides. A lot of artist realize soon or later that the jelly style doesn't fit what they want to accomplish so they just grow out of it.

Yea absolutely you're right. It probably is just a trend and will die sooner or later however I hate the way it's being done and shown to beginner artists because they just copy what they see and don't take the time they should to get the fundamentals down. But at the end of the day you can take art to however serious you want and have as much fun as you want. So I love ALL artist. especially you, I love you!

Honestly the artstyle itself is a really good and pretty artstyle,in my opinion,it’s a really hard artstyle to do though,so most people are drawing some stuff wrong so maybe that’s what makes it ugly or weird for some people 😭
