The reason it doesn't feel like a 'Batman' (or even a Catwoman) movie is because it's not. The writers have gone on record that they wrote a movie with all the same tones as what's in the final product with the brought back to life stuff & so on, the suits at WB at the last minute realized they didn't have a superhero movie for 2004, looked at the script & said Catwoman, slapped the name on the character & movie and called it a day without changing anything else. Yeah even in 2004 WB studio meddling knew no bounds.

This is a very normal thing in the film industry and it is not, by any means, always unsuccessful. I recently learned that Saw 2, the best saw movie by most accounts, was the same thing. Original script, not a Saw movie, reverse engineered into a sequel.

I gotta admit, the idea of there being multiple women bearing the mantle of Catwoman is rather intriguing. On a related note, when I saw "Catwoman" on DVD, I thought Dr. Ophelia Powers(Patience Phillips' mentor) was either the Catwoman from "Batman Returns" or one of the previous bearer of the mantle.

When I first saw this movie... I liked it. However, please keep in mind my head space at the time. I had just moved back into my parents' house after finding out my now, ex-wife, was having an affair with a few different men. Also, I was drunk and alone in the theater, literally only one seat occupied. I think any movie that took me out of my reality would have sufficed. Months later, when it ended up on cable and upon a second viewing with now more rational and sober eyes... what a mess. Thank the heavens that the next year, we'd be treated to a proper Batman story in "Batman Begins", but this movie could have potentially destroyed any future DC plans. I felt like it didn't know what audience to cater to. Superhero fans, Batman fans, or a hero for little girls to luck up to... either way if failed on all ends, and forgot this movie existed until watching this video. Well done, Vee.

I think this was originally supposed to be a spinoff from Tim Burton's Batman films with Michelle Pfeiffer returning as Catwoman. I remember reading somewhere that they kept Catwoman alive at the end of Batman Returns in order to give her a spinoff film.

I see little to nothing that can save this role. Catwoman is a character that is so intertwined with Batman, that any version of her who isn't associated with him at all or is in a world where he does not exist or is even hinted at, isn't Catwoman at all.

I hate the cat powers thing. In Batman Returns it could be argued Selina was just nuts. Her answering machine showed her life felt dead end and her boss tried to kill her. But every time she survived a fall or getting shot it felt more like insane dumb luck. Even when Max tossed her out the window, we see tarps slow her down enough that she only smacks her head hard…. SHOULD of killed her but survivable by the logic of the movie

yeah in that film her survival always felt like the character had awesome luck till her last life with the power cable. That was the only time you wonder if she did have superpowers. Even her movement was not too over the top. This version clearly has meta power giving she can climb walls among other things.

Given how bad this movie was, maybe they should of killed her off and added the loss of Selina to the list of regrets ‘Old man Bruce’ has… shame that Batman Beyond movie isn’t going to happen

I saw this movie when it first came out I have to admit I liked the movie only because of Halle Berry I personally think that they were trying to do a multi verse style of catwoman but they failed miserably from my perspective of the catwoman character she handles each situation according to how it benefits her if she's in desperate danger and batman comes and saves her she sides with batman if the situation is where she has the upper hand and controls the room and environment she sides with either no one or sides with the bad guys this movie could have been a really great movie if done right love the channel vee keep up the awesome content you've got an subscriber from me could you do a video about the possibility of Robin Williams playing the riddler if he was still alive by that I mean having his own movie just a thought.

I haven't seen catwoman. For me the worst batman was the Robert Paterson one, batman himself felt like an emo cosplayer stuck in a David Fincher inspired movie, and the story was so shit. The Riddler was a joke as well and his riddles felt like they were written by Forrest Gump.
