I enjoy your channel, not only because you guys interact so well together, but because for the most part your palates line up with mine closely. Your love for BBC, GR, Still Austin, Redwood and last year the M10, which is still my favorite bottle I own. But as for the Peerless Toasted, do not agree. To include it as one of “the worst”, c’mon there’s a hell of a lot worse. That Beam Winter whatever is the worst by far this year. The Peerless Toasted I have is the best toasted bourbon I own. All butterscotch, a little spice, and perfect amount of oak. I do have batch 3, which might make a difference. I actually like it better than the double Oaked. Just shows everyone’s palate not the same. Happy New Year!

My only complaint about peerless toasted is next to the double oaked, I can’t tell the difference. I spent the same amount of money for something that’s harder to find and more limited and I only slightly like the double oaked more.

Complete agreement on "The Infinite" as a bottle! My most disappointing purchase of 2024 by a wide margin. Not sure I can fairly say its terrible...but...its not for me!! Was a bit underwhelmed by the Peerless toasted as well.

I went to the distillery thinking i was going to buy little book the infinite and OGD 16 year. I walked out with Bakers 13 and Old Overholt 11 year cask strength. Little book the infinite and OGD 16 just didn't hit the mark and were not 200 dollar bottles in my opinion. I spent a little over 200 on two bottles and was much happier!

Same exact thing happened to me. Was set on little book infinite but tried em and snagged bakers and overholt. Then I also tracked down a hardins creek Jacob well 211 month. Best beam I’ve tried by far

I don’t understand the complaints on Bakers High Rye. If it’s not offensive or special then it should not be on a list for worst bourbon of the year. It feels like all of whisky tube had this dumb idea that this release would be some special high age rye. It’s basically an old grand dad single barrel at 107 proof. To me that is still a solid pour for the price of a Bakers.

It may be a different mashbill? It doesn't taste like OGD. I get dark flavors and some green minty-ness also. Ogd is bright vanilla and cinnamon candies. It could be just the single barrel aspect, but idk.

Batch 2 for me on the Peerless Toasted is better than the Batch 1 side by side. I didn't blind them. But I had drank about half of my Batch 1, wanted a backup, got a Batch 2 and I truly think it's better.

@ I definitely want to try batch 3 and 4 and almost got a batch 3 when I bought the batch 2 in Kentucky in October but i was trying to be conservative lol. I really like batch 1 but it’s a little crafty at times. A little grain forward. But it’s still really good. Batch 2 is much more rounded for me.

Just goes to show that everyone's palate is different and what someone else likes or dislikes doesn't mean it will be the same for you. I love bourbon kingdom and do follow them. They are one of the few whiskey channels I still follow.
