It's not a bad pokemon by all means, it has access to some good STAB with Bug Buzz too. Also Vespiquen with some Boots on is a pretty solid wall if you invest in it.

Just add 10 base points each to its HP Defense and Special Attack and 30 to its Physical Attack. That's a somewhat respectable 450 BST that would get u through till the mid game and it wouldn't be so fragile and weak

In renegade platinum, they made Ledian Bug/Fight and gave it Iron fist ability thats a good start.

They gave it Aerilate in Inclement Emerald. Kept it as Bug/Flying but buffed its attack stats. You can actually no-sell Brawly with Aerilate Comet Punch.

They could make something so cool with an evolution. Both Ledian and Orbeetle have gigantic SP DEF, so it's a trait shared by all ladybug Pokemon. Ledian's type could change, but I think it would be really cool if it had a new move that used SP DEF. as the attacking stat. Just like Body Press. Like a move thematically made for Ladybug Pokemon. Either that, or give it an ability that makes it so Ledian's physical attacks calculate using its SP DEF, altough it may be too good.

Ledian is one of my favorite Pokémon. Love his design always reminded me of Spider-Man. These changes would be greatly appreciated. Right now I just run terra steel stall Ledian on gen 9 nat. Dex lol. It’s had SOME success.ok

For me Ledian is always, for me, a middle evolution. Back in gen 2 I thought it would get a centipede evo… even though their not related.

The bug type in general needs help, for f*** sake gamefreak, did fairy really need another resistance? Bug is already resisted by about half the types in the game already, at least let it hit one of the best types for neutral, if not SE.

Bug is resisted by.... Fairy, Fighting, Fire, Flying, Ghost, Poison, Rock, & Steel, so yeah dang near (literally one short of half) >.>

don't forget that Comet Punch is under the purview of Iron Fist >.> so now you have 110 Attack, Iron Fist, Loaded Dice, and the Normal STAB all boosting Comet Punch >.>

About Bug/Flying Pokémon, an issue I thought they all still have is a lack of strong STAB options. On the Physical side, none has access to Drill Peck or Brave Bird, two strong Physical moves. However, I completely forgot about Acrobatics! For a good Bug/Flying user, Scyther can use it instead of Technician Dual Wingbeat (and, in the past, Aerial Ace) On the special side, I used to think STAB Hurricane was exclusive to Vivillon. This used to be true, now Butterfree, Masquerain, and Vespequen can use this move as well. Too bad Ledian's offensive stats are low, so maybe a more realistic buff for the next generation is a new support move instead.

Now that Palafin exists I'm thinking that Ledian could get the same treatment cuz not only does it fit with its design, but its stats are very low. Ledian-Hero would gain the Fighting type to avoid Stealth Rock weakness. Although I'm not sure if it should happen as it's a 2nd stage 'mon, so a permanent 3rd stage is another possibility (not a regional evo like Cursola, but a straight evo akin to the likes of Farigiraf).

Making him bug/fighting could also work. Doesn't need to be on par with heracross but with all the punching moves it kinda feels like a wasted op to have it bug/flying

It needs a Paldean evolution to come from the Scarlet and Violet DLC. Also, Ariados could use the Paldean evolution buff too.

Here's an idea for the next 'Buff X Pokemon' video. Onix. Like, yeah, Steelix is an evolution and technically a buff, but Onix is by far the most lopsided, worst stat'd Rock Type I've ever come across. From the earlier generation it would have to be either him or Magcargo.

I see two versions for it. New abilty : 5fists. All punching moves hit 5 times but no secondary effect and halving their base attack. Then u can ignore ledians miserable stats. Or giving it an evolution

It would be enough to give Chansey's lucky punch to Ledian , with perhaps another additional effect, in addition to critical hits, which for example makes moves based on punches multi-hit. So the 35 points in attack would make some sense

1. Other options include using the special attack instead of attack and compound eyes or keen eyes to use low accuracy attacks with better chance of landing the hit. 2. Bug normal or keep its current type and get the aerilate ability to make all normal attacks hit with flying damage and gain more power. 3. Comet punch is not the signature move of this pokemon and generation 1 introduced this attack where hitmonchan and kangaskhan can learn this attack.

Let's imagine it's Pure Hackmons. I can only manipulate moves and abilities. I think the key here is to give it the opportunity to deal damage not reliant on its attacking stats - Seismic Toss or Night Shade. Than give it an ability that covers its pitiful Defense - Fur Coat Next thing is to load it with annoying "life saving" moves than doesn't let your opponent touch you: Thunder Wave and Glare to choose between accuracy and hitting Ground types, Confuse Ray. My favorite status is Sleep, of course, but Sleep Powder doesn't make much sense on Ledian. Hypnosis might work, but I don't really "see" it. And, finally, give it another Ability option to make it super fast. Chlorophyll maybe. Or Speed Boost. Speed Boost might actually work thematically. Definitely better fitting than Swift Swim😂

On Bug/Flying, Yanmega's pretty solid (and my favorite bug). 2 stellar abilities, nice special attack, reasonable speed that becomes amazing if you pick speed boost. It just really really wants quiver dance. I'm pretty sure they gave it to a duck, so I don't see why they can't give it to a special attacking bug.

I would lower its special defence from 110 to 60 and put that 30 in speed making it 115 speed the other 20 + a new 50 in physical attack for 105 attack and a base stat total of 440. Making it a fast glass cannon like wevile. For Abilitys make iron fist a normal Ability not hidden and a new Ability that like refrigerate and pixelate that turns normal type moves into bug type instead of swarm. For Moves give it access to all punching moves either in level up or TM. Lastly it's type becoming bug/fighting leading in to the power ranges inspiration more.

Hp 60 Attack 75 Defense 60 Special Attack 35 Special Defense 110 Speed 90 BST: 430 which is reasonable. Plus give it some sort of Bug type punch move to pair nicely with Iron Fist.

It breaks my heart because I love the design. I really wish the heads of pokemon would watch these vids. As a regional form or something I wouldn’t mind normal but I think fighting would be cool too. Sure you may not want to send it out against a flying but I can deal with it. Call me crazy but I like the bug type.

I thought ledian wasn’t horrible and tried using him in my black 2 playthrough yesterday. Bro I gave him swords dance and while I was fighting something i had plus 6 attack and was five levels above my opponent and that shit still didn’t OH KO. I was so sad cuz I actually like this pokemon. I wish it was bug/fighting half his movepool are fighting type moves but now that I saw your video it would be cooler if it was bug/normal.

Hmmm... I won't have gone so far as increase its' Attack up to 110... simply because Ledian just doesn't look like that kind of Pokemon. I mean... look at that cutesy bug! Now compare it to Scyther... I don't think anyone would agree with these two having the same Attack value! Scyther has freaking sword-blades for arms! I'm also not too happy about the Bug-Normal dual Typing... in fact: I'd say Normal should be dual-typed with anything since it's supposed to be the "neutral/null" type. I do feel that Ledian should also be able to get the compound eyes ability... just look at his eyes!
