We gamers gotta confront the problem of "gamer rage". I mean, it's not any different from when sports fans fight each-other, but that's toxic too. It shouldn't be something people lean into. (Outside of comedic parody like AVGN.) I wouldn't know how to help just anyone ditch the rage, but from my own experience I think two things helped me - when I started having real problems and realized vidya games aren't worth getting pissed over, and also when I stopped seeing "being good at games" as a part of my identity. Unless you intend to go MLG, it doesn't really matter how good you are, games are meant to be fun. They're meant to be an escape from your problems, not a contributor. And when I was stressing about winning, it wasn't fun for me (and I actually played worse too). When I realized that, I stopped caring about being competitive and stopped getting mad when I was losing.
