This reminds me of a series of tournaments going about in... Either magic or Yugioh that I'd LOVE to see happen in the TCG also. Every week there's a new tournament, and whatever makes top cut for that week is banned from ALL future tournaments. So if top 4 is lugia single strike, DTE mew, miraidon regieleki and turbo gardevoir those decks can no longer be played until the next season. It lets some really weird and wacky decks take the spotlight, and towards the end of a season there's simply nothing "meta", and you have to rely on your own intuition similar to this series. Would absolutely love it if someone were to make this a thing in pokemon

Cool idea! 90% of the cards don't see play, and it's nice to see at least some jank decks involving them. Loved celio's Miltank beatdown deck!

Loving this series! If I could make a suggestion, it would be great to see the both of you interact at some point. I understand not interacting during the game so that you can talk through the strategy and the plays with the audience between turns. But maybe do a pregame discussion after you've spun the wheel or post-game discussion so that you can see each others reactions to the match?

I think you should be in a call with each other like Cimo and MBT for History of Yugioh or Cimo and Gage for Progression Series There are so many great moments because they can react with each other and their banter is fantastic

If im not mistaken LDF couldve taken the last two prize cards after escape roping right? Just use alakazams ability move two damage to squirtle and then knock out the active and the 30 from max surf wouldve knocked out sauirtle
