The best part of this is watching the hoyotards doing olympic levels of mental gymnastics to somehow place blame on the Japanese CC that Hoyo treated like a pariah then tried to steong arm into not playing WuWa with not so subtle underhanded threats. Ngl i play and will continue playing Genshin because atm its still one of the better open world story driven gachas you can play. However im under no delusions about Dawei and Hoyo and the way they openly (mis)handle the game and how Hoyo is a genuinely shitty company as a whole As for Kuro, my respect and support of them as gacha devs preceded WuWa by a few years. Anyone whos played PGR would quickly realize they were cut from a different (and overall better) cloth compared to vast majority of gacha devs. Think about this, a gacha system with a 100% guarentee for the new festured unit with a pity of only 60 and the ability to get a dupe through currency you earn playing a weekly mode. Also a weapon banner thats 80/20 (not 100% guarenteed) BUT all the characters 5 star weapons are permantly available to pull for anytime you choose, not just during the associated limited characters banner. Then after all that, a 100% f2p player will be able to earn, through both permanent and limited events each month, enough premium currency to get every new limited character at its release. Finally, know that this game existed years before Genshin came out with its own exceedingly inferior 50/50 character banner (with 1.5 times the number of pulls needed to hit pity) and an even worse weapon banner. This is why I support Kuro and followed Wuthering Waves since it was just a twinkle in Solons eye. I knew the devs behind WuWa made games out of passion, put the player experience first and realized that if they make a good game the money would follow (instead of implementing every shitty tactic to get the players to spend as much as possible while doing the bare minimum to keep the game going). Call me a kurobot because if you will because Ive been around long enough to know thats the furthest thing from an insult to me that there is.

It's unfortunate that more of PGR's monetization mechanics didn't make it into WuWa. Of all the things to copy from Genshin, why did their banners have to be one of them (WuWa's banners are still better for a number of reasons, but there are still some thorns that need to be removed)? That said, we're still early in WuWa's lifespan, so maybe they'll make some adjustments down the line? We're already getting "Tier 3" skins (something that took Genshin 2 years to do and haven't done since), so who knows?

@SageRuffin I sort of understand why Kuro went with the 50/50 system in WuWa as an open world game is much more expensive to create and maintain than an instanced one like PGR. Like you mentioned, hopefully down the line and once they've established a revenue stream that's even more than they predicted, Kuro can alter or add banners that are more generous. Ive seen other games do exactly this, for example Snowbreak started with just the standard 50/50 banners for new character and weapons. However in the last couple patches they added a 2nd option, a 100% guarenteed character and weapon banner but the pity is 20 pulls higher and the rates a bit lower (but overall imo its still better because you know everytime you approach hitting pity the next 5 star will 100% be the new unit)

Same shit happened in China. If your content 100% relied on Hoyo games, and your content won’t attract any new player for their game(purely serving existing players), they simply just don’t pay much attention on you. Unless you’re cc like cosplayer, animation maker etc that could attract new people to their game, the more you like the game, the less care you will receive from the company. They prioritized sponsoring cc outside of the community and those who had bunch of audiences who never tried their game.(means that you won’t receive any sponsorship if you’re for example making Genshin guides only, unless you’re the top3 cc who could receive quit good views generally)

Apparently nerumero as Ryukku said is a preffered Genshin CC 8 months ago on his very first Wuwa livestream of 1.0. Hoyo called and asked him to not specifically cover wuwa. He does stop covering it for 6 months and then he started covering it again 1.1 update that's when he was kicked out not because of him covering wuwa but criticizing Genshin saying Genshin should copy wuwa's intro and Outro system to make the game even better.

Dude, this is actually one of the best, if not THE BEST time to try and come back to PGR. Next patch (for GB) is the starting of the "accelerated" patches where everyone pretty much gets most of the necessary resources to get to the same state in CN. So even if you are "behind", everyone pretty much gets boosted enough to catch up to CN since that will be the schedule for all servers after. But hey, play the game you enjoy. This is just in case you didn't know about the accelerated state PGR GB would be in.

In terms of exploration, Sumeru was the best, rhat region really felt like an adventure game, Sumeru is huge not only on the surface, but also lots of underground areas to find. Sumeru took me a while to complete 100%. No joke, every other region like Fontaine and Natlan i 100% every area in 2 days as it got released. Fontaine and Natlan are small.

For me I never trusted the Genshin part of Hoyo (HSR and ZZZ part is ok right now). Genshin just feels like a testing ground for mechs to the other games. I was searching for Zach Aguilar's (Va Aether) previous stream of him playing WuWa and how he wished he wanted to voice Act some of the characters someday but somehow was "magically" removed. Not sure if it was Hoyoverse who told him to remove the content or it's on his contract to not stream any Games related to "free-anime-openworld-gatcha" or something of that caliber.

As someone who loves both games, this is incredibly sad to see. I think it's important to not dump all devs working on Genshin into the same category. Genshin is clearly a great game, whether you like it more or less than Wuwa it doesn't matter. I can't imagine how the devs who've put their heart and souls into Genshin would feel as the greedy higher ups are CONSTANTLY pulling this BS.

@ronron_gaming just because some higher up devs are disgusting creatures who can only think of exploiting their players and are completely out of touch doesn't mean I will shit talk the whole game that's given me an unforgettable experience. Ik everyone despises Genshin here but I personally LOVE the story, exploration and vibe of the game and really appreciate the game mechanics as well (just because I think Wuwa combat is much better doesn't mean I think Genshin is shit). Nobody is defending the company. I've always thought they suck long before Wuwa was released. But I can't deny the heart and soul put into the game by the devs that are actually creating the game (who aren't the decision making dikheads).

Thank you!!! A lot of the decisions made by the higher ups at hoyo are shitty, yes. But I hate it when I see people say that that means Genshin is just a cash cow. Genshin is 100% a passion project, mihoyo put everything on the line to make sure the game happened. And saying the Genshin devs suck because of these greedy decisions from the higher ups completely disparages the work of all of the other teams at Hoyo. Like the lore and music teams are top notch and some of the best in gacha.

Genshin will never accept their flaws and instead goes around agitating other gachha players just to justified their actions. And even after how wuthering waves community reacted to card game winning they later calm down just after what devs provided us with rinascita which is enough and we are grateful even though we lost in a way but we also won as well. ❤😂 And besides we are here to enjoy our free time with any game you like whether it is wuwu or zenless or even genshin but do hope that we also get good response from the devs unlike genshin 💀🗿sorry not sorry

Somehow whenever i step on something really messed up in this media (entertainment) it starts getting worse and worse Honestly it starting to scare me Can't tell all the times i've been through this kind of dramas but every single time it started with bad yuyu And ever since i started playing Genshin it felt wrong I started back in July this year and i started playing WuWa some time later with the release of Jinhsi I was doing good playing both games but of course WuWa made me feel with way more freedom than Genshin Like, i always hated how Genshin charecters have plunge attacks but you can never actually use those attacks without specific charecters, places and/or bosses mechanics I always hated the exact same charged attacks with every weapon and few exceptions, specially the Polearm But overall i hated how they sell the Archons as powerfull gods They can fly, cast thunders and split islands far away from a single slash, change primordial water into regular blood in the case of Neuvillette as a Dragon BUT THEY FCKNG DIE IF THEY RAN OUT OF STAMINE WHILE SWIMING AND THEY GET TIRED WHILE CLIMBING AND FELL TO THEIR DEATHS Not saying they should be OP as hell but at least make my Electro Archon immune to electrocuting herself While in WuWa whenever you ran out of stamina while climbing walls instead of falling they start sliding down How can you parkour your way up to a house while Genshin charecters get stuck in the roof and you have to look for a different way to reach the top The more you play WuWa the worse Genshin gets And now with this thing happening it's no surprise how they neglect their own charecters and ignore players feedback

Had a random thought about potential powercreep in the game and a way to keep older characters up to speed and relevant as the games rister grows and felt like sharing. What about character specific echoes, ones that give additional and exclusive buffs to its associated unit and even when attached to that character you can also select from 3 different echo abilites to make it more customizable to your playstyle or build (anything from basically becoming a 2nd skill button to enabling you character to take on a sub-role on tbe team likr a mini-buffer or healer. They also bring any stats that are lacking due to lowercreep more inline with the current meta. And for the lore explaining it, basically its jist taming an echo and naming calling it your own. Right off the rip theres abbey for Rover and for other characters you dont even have to create new, soecial echoes. Just use ones in the game, alter their design so its unique and have the character name them (cool featuee would be to allow the player to name each one, maybe choose the color scheme 9r something). Anyways i know its random thought but i thought it wasnt half bad so i wanted to share. If you think it sucks...fair enough
