In terms of chefs who struggled with the “Are you better than XYZ Chef” question during the elimination plea, Sam from Young Guns is also up there. He did solidly throughout the season, but was losing a bit of steam and got nominated a few times. Then it was him and Antonio up for elimination. And I guess because he didn’t want to throw Antonio under the bus, he refused to answer Ramsay’s question and was sniped out of the competition. It’s a shame too, because I think he had a chance of making the black jackets if this hadn’t happened.

Over 100% is supposed to mean surpassing your previous limitations. The only time it’s not possible in any capacity is when people say something like “it was 110% less”, then it’s impossible, since removing 100% of anything makes it zero.

depends if they mean "over 100% of what I have" or "over 100% of what I've been giving so far". The first would be impossible, the second wouldn't be a good look either because it implies you've been half-assing it up till now. At least craig admitted he didn't know percentages though. Putting aside that it's just numbers and he needed only to be able to count to 126, at least it gives him an excuse for promising the impossible. Funnily enough though I actually suspect that he was trying to say the same thing as you. Of course he can count above 125, but he knows that saying "I'll give you 150%" is just empty platitudes, I just think that being on the spot and not really going balls in on calling out his fellow contestant for being full of shit he really didn't express it in a satisfactory way.

Excluding Jason and Antonia who left because of medical reasons, Kenneth and Ava who got eliminated at Punishment Pass Challenge and Louie who got ejected mid service, it doesn't count. Only for Dinner Service. I'm gonna say: 1. Tavon (Season 10) for lying as Executive Chef at 22 and disrespectful for Chef Ramsay. 2. Melinda (Season 6) for wasting a lot of undercooked Cappelinis to trash bin and making Chef Ramsay got voice crack: "LOOK! LOOK! LOOK!" 3. Sebastian (Season 11) for calling "Mikey Wacky" and the infamous "ZACKY WACKY!" 4. Chrissa (Season 14) for not doing anything and wandering around and asking too many questions to Sarah. Even in elimination deliberation, she broke a glass and not paying attention. Let's not forget how she wanted to pee before dinner service began instead of doing it in Prep and also want to escape while Chef Ramsay is talking to her. 5. Elliot (Season 19) for being in Lalaland and can't answer the question correctly. 6. Matthew (Season 20) for being a complete trainwreck chef and got caught for using digital thermometer and also laughed in front of Chef Ramsay 7. Tiffany (Season 3) for bullying Julia as Waffle House Cook along with Joanna by ignoring her but she couldn't cook Quail Eggs properly. Even Mellisa who got Best of The Worst betrayed her when she begged her to not nominate her but nominate Julia instead. 8. JP (Season 13) for not only he cooked his signature dish too fast but he also got eliminated too fast 9. Pat (Season 16) for not cooking Risotto properly even though he's an Italian 10. CarolAnn (Season 1) for not helping her teammate because she was at dessert station when she supposed to help everybody

Also writing another comment, the reason why Tom survived elimination in spite of that plea while the others didn't is this: Tom admitted he wasn't the best, the others couldn't say they were the worst. It's the tiny difference that separates the humble from the unambitious. One is honesty, the other is insecurity. No argument on any of these whatsoever. I guess to Chris' credit, I'm pretty sure he was going home no matter what that round, as Roshni was just a pawn, Royce didn't screw up *that* bad, and Barbie was his closest opponent to leaving, but would result in more drama, so Chris was doomed either way...but yes his plea did him no favors whatsoever. As a dishonorable mention, Sabrina's pleas in Season 8 deserve to be here. All of them. My goodness they were all the fricking same! Realistically, Patrick actually did have the worst service, and had been on a bit of a downward spiral, but I do agree with a plea like that, Tiffany should've gone home. Anyone who answers how much they care on a scale of 1-10 with "Like a 9" doesn't want to be there as much as everyone else! Also, Tiffany in a later episode claimed she cared about food more than her own family. Ouch! Then at most she cares about her family on a scale of 1-10, "Like an 8". 😝

I think what pissed me off the most about Scott from S7 WA sjust his expression every time he was up on the chopping block. Idk, but he always had on this look and this smirk that always said "You know I'm right. Anything else you say is invalid". Just the way he would give that smirk irritated me so fucking much that I physically could not watch S7 for a second time just because he always triggered me so hard.

@@FlynnMasters Flynn, I just thought of the funniest idea or scenario, Imagine if Michael from S11 was in a final 2 as and his teammates were Elise and Dan S11. If they argued and Dan served up raw fish or something like that. Mike would probably smash the fish and then eject both Elise and Dan, GR style hollering at them to get out. And two of his other teammates being Devin S16 and Chris S12 would probably be like: 😯 What do you think?

Cameron showed too much fear obviously. Rob faced karma. Elliot at least was honest. I was happy that Virginia stayed over Keith and Sara since Keith made himself look like a crybaby that Chef Ramsay didn’t pick him (Ruining my good opinion of him) and Sara was the worst thing of season 2. Just the fact their pleas included anything about doing better or wanting to learn, was case and point for their elimination when all chefs already fighting for the prize in Hell's Kitchen should be at their best and have minimal amounts to learn. They should be the top of their game at all time, otherwise should respect the fact they've wasted Gordon's time and just leave on their own accords. Yet the dude who said "I don't know percentages" is beyond underqualified to even be speaking to Gordon when that's literally elementary/middle school common.
