So I see people say these things... I always thought they were just funny comments. But here's the jist. I'm having one of the most challenging times in my life lately, like bad. And to come to my precious KZbin to see that not only did I get to watch you first thing this morning opening the look fantastic calendar but now, NOW, I get ANOTHER video ??!!! How awesome! It actually calms me down. I wish I had skin care like these calendars. Please Alexandra, donate stuff before it expires, if you don't use it!! We have something called "Project Beauty" here in Washington (idk about Kentucky) but they help less fortune folks, they go to the high schools and let the kids get not just makeup but hair products and tools. Honestly do not use it! It was suppose to be a no poo method but it stuck to the scalp so much it prevented hair from growing (from my research don't come for me) creating bald spots on people's heads. It is not surprising it is in this calender as they probably can't move it out of their warehouse.

Honestly, I think it was not bad. It obviously wasn't the best advent calendar of the season, but it showed a vast improvement over their past calendars. They took the criticisms they received and improved the products and I can't be mad at them for that. I agree that it's definitely aimed at a more mature crowd, and all of the products suit the target market well. Everything made sense and there wasn't anything too outrageous (a single vitamin or a sheet of rhinestones) so even the tiny samples don't seem too upsetting. All in all, way better than I was expecting!

I have a feeling that the Wen lawsuit does have to do with hair falling out. I started using Wen a few years ago, and my stylist realized my hair was falling out. I did find out information at the time that it was happening to other people as well. Sorry this is so negative, but I had to jump on here and warn you about this product.

Woah I had no idea. When I was a teenager my aunts bought it like clockwork so I loved showering at their house because I knew that I would be able to use it and it worked so well for me. It seems like maybe I avoided the worst of the problems by only using it sporadically. I do remember though that they changed their marketing from "you only need to use a tiny amount because it's so good it goes such a long way" to "use it daily and wash your hair twice each time for best results". It was such a blatantly manipulative lie to make you buy more often that my aunts fell out of buying it regularly

That’s like 60 pumps of product for your whole head. @@chelsey8737 So, the Wen thing is complicated, because scientists literally have not been able to explain why it caused hair loss in some. (In most people it didn't cause any issues). A big guess is that, if you're only using Wen, the product build up eventually does something to the hair, like causes it to be too heavy. As long as you use a truly cleansing shampoo twice a month, it probably won't cause any issues.

The wen lawsuits have been ongoing for years due to people complaining of their hair falling out. A lot of people who do the curly girl method had similar experiences with another brand. Basically the conditioner clogs the hair follicles and pores on the scalp and makes the hair fall out after using it for a while. It doesn’t properly clean the scalp. I went on a deep dive one night 🙃😂

Hi Alexandria, instead of getting the big box from QVC I got two boxes for $15 apiece and $10 shipping and they had full-size products and really good products in them. I get what they’re called. I noticed with those foot masks you have to leave them on longer than they say I leave them on for like two or three hours in socks, so I won’t slip with rubber on the bottom and then they work. I believe the 12 day boxes were better.

The foot mask = SUPER satisfying actually. I do it once every few months cuz my callouses are FIERCE warriors that will not give up, but any foot peel mask I've gotten has worked. Make sure you leave it on for like 45 mins! I find the directions vary with different brands so I just found 45 mins is the sweet spot, or when it starts getting really warm and tingly. But DONT force peel off the skin that starts shedding. I found it's fine to slough it off 2-4 days after peeling starts, but make sure any skin that's coming off is DEAD or you will rip you live skin. I found out the hard way, please trust me, it HURTS. FOR DAYS. 😢 Otherwise, I look forward to my foot peels, as does my bf when I get him one too. He loses A LOT. it shocks me every time 😂 Just a bit of useful advice from an avid user of foot peels. Do what feels best to you, of course. It's more a loose fit guideline. 😊 Love these videos! Been a watcher for years. Love you girly! ❤

Earth therapeutics from Walmart for 3 dollars has the best foot peel on the market. Take a shower or bath then put mask on feet then socks. Let it sit for at least 2 hrs if possible. Within 1 week you will see results and they peel for at least 1 week. Then lasts for at least 4 months. Trust me on this one

First, don’t be sorry for being chatty. I watch your videos because I love how chatty and fun you are. Your little tangents are so entertaining! Also, I was sort of a victim of wen. Basically, it’s marketed as a one step full hair care routine. You’re only using conditioner and never any shampoo. That’s not good for your hair. You need shampoo at least every so often to actually cleanse your scalp and remove build up from your scalp and hair. Otherwise, the build up can make your hair a really awful texture, make it tangly, and can even make your hair fall out. When I first started using wen it was fantastic and my hair felt amazing because it had ingredients that coated the hair and made it feel slippery and smooth (my hair is curly and thick and the strands are pretty coarse so it didn’t really feel smooth and slippery often before I learned how to properly care for it). But I wasn’t using anything to get rid of that coating on my hair and eventually it got incredibly tangled and started to get matted I have obviously stopped using it because of my experience and because of the law suits. I don’t want my hair to fall out lol I don’t recommend using this, especially on fine hair since it’ll just weigh it down at best

There's law suites going on at Orlaplex at the moment but people still love that brand. It's usually civil issues because someone's had hair loss and suspect a reaction to the product. The Sunday Riley product is lovely but has a weird smell like glue. I prefer her 'Luna' oil retinol with a bit of the A+ retinol on top. And love her 'Good Genes' topped with some 'After Glow' moisturiser... Never apologise for being chatty. Hi Alexandria, I really like when you are being your chatty self ! From my experience QVC in the past didn't sell Advent Calender's per se. They tended to be categorized as a "Try Me/Try It" Box so you didn't have to purchase a giant sized item but rather "TRY IT" in a smaller form to see if you cared for the scent, color, texture etc. I purchased a "Try Me box" a long time ago. Granted I knew it contained trial sizes of particular items that were listed... PLUS it was on a clearance price since I certainly wasn't going to pay the laughable price they were asking originally for a teeny sized amount of an item. So I was prepared. I did notice Mally Roncal & Laura Gellar would seem to give full sizes in lip/eye sticks & QVC started selling Advent Boxes here & there but the reviews were really low rated. Sorry for my being overly "chatty"... 🤗 ~ Anita

Ok, totally unrelated to this calendar but speaking of putting things on your hands that aren't meant for hands, I've been using my Burt's Bees ceramide lip mask on my very dry, cracked knuckles and it works better than anything else I've ever tried! I hate the feeling of lotion on my hands and I work in dining in assisted living so I have to wash my hands about 237 times a day, and the lip mask actually soaks in pretty quickly and doesn't feel gross. Anyways, 10 out of 10 recommend non-hand stuff for your hands!😅

This wasn’t a completely terrible calendar, I’m flabbergasted. Lol. The last lipstick being so old was pretty awful, but otherwise, it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. Also, side note, but I watched someone unbox a UK only released Sephora advent calendar and it was so much better than the ones you were able to purchase. Admittedly it was very expensive, but it also had full size products! I’d love to know why it was only released in the UK and why the other ones are so pathetic when they can do better ones. So weird.

I just love watching your videos because it is nice to see and hear someone who is as goofy as myself. Please do not use the Wen product. I used to use Wen products years ago and I developed a burning and red rash over my scalp. My scalp has never been the same. Other people have totally lost patches of hair from it as well.

I don't think it was terrible. Especially if you get it on sale! I tried a peeling foot mask and it just flaked annoyingly, I was disappointed! I have VERY ticklish feet and i get a pedicure every month or so, it's my indulgence and I love it; I manage to deal with the ticklishness ❤

READ. When you use the foot 🦶 peel, do it right after a shower 🚿 so you’re not starting out with dry skin. And go for the longest time.
