I was thinking the same thing. You wear in-ears to hear because the feedback/noise from speakers is so loud the music is distorted you can’t rely on it. So Seventeen must have had to know their songs and choreography by COUNTS and kept count in their head, while performing a live stage. Also, they must have amazing teamwork because if they messed up, there was no in-ear to help them find their place in the song, they would’ve had to look at their members for a sign of where they were in the song. I’m not a fan, but I’m about to be because that shit is impressive as hell and they deserve to be recognized (also I’ve seen Woozi and he is adorable and I would like to put him in my pocket).

the interesting thing about svt is that scoups doesn’t seem afraid to stand up to the company. like he’s said on a broadcast that he cares way more about his members than the company and has made direct requests to the company for things to benefit the members, and he reportedly straight up told a fan at a fansign not to join pledis. i gotta wonder if part of why seventeen has gotten less bullshit compared to their other groups is not just because pledis wouldn’t survive without them but also because they know that they’ve inadvertently put their biggest group in the hands of a leader who isn’t afraid to throw his weight around when it comes to his group’s well being. like i have to wonder if he’s aware that if they drop svt pledis is basically fucked and that’s why he can stand up to them like he has

I know this is an old comment, but I will literally not shut up about this. I strongly believe Seventeen are where they are now because they've experienced the bad handling and have witnessed it happen to Nu'est as well. I wont forget the one time managers didn't notify fans of a performance for 17project, the members made sure that didn't happen again. Like you said, Cheol makes sure to go to the company when needed and Seungkwan is great at networking and to this day personally reaches out to show producers to get them more exposure. The members don't completely rely on Pledis' management and I'm glad they don't.

They already knew how bad Pledis was, but they didn't want to give up even in the time of trainee. When I saw Wonu being interviewed when their ring was taken, he said about his trainee days 4 years in Pledis and sacrificing his school days just to took off his ring back, I cried seeing him cuz Wonu and I were born in the same year. I don't know why but I feel it. Despite how bad Pledis was, when Svt were in their present position, today, Dokyeom and Woozi innocently said on LieV that Pledis was a bad agency in their past, Coups and Seungkwan covered it by said that now Pledis is very good to them, I think besides Coups and Seungkwan want to protect their members from bad comments cuz at that time they were Live, they also wanted their members to give their thanks to Pledis. That's why I never throw words to Pledis now. Coups is the best leader. He seemed to want to protect the family without any fear. Like how he defended Vernon, he poured his emotions in the lyrics of the song The Other Side / Believe Me. And also how he wrote the lyrics of his solo song Fenomeno, made me really admire him. If there're some peoples mocking to Svt cuz they do everything by themself, I would say, that's why I should stan a group like them, they're not joke when they called as Self-Produced Idol. When u see n know how's Seventeen, u will know how talented they are. Vocal-unit, HipHop-unit, Performance-unit, if we listen to songs from each unit, they have different musical tastes, but when they become one, Seventeen with 13 boys they are on another level. Peoples should stop saying them flop, they're just from a poor agency, n the greatest thing are they keep think to make the group become bigger n created a history with the group. Even Dino had this dream since his trainee days. They were knew that their agency was poor but they never lost their hope to debute. And the hope to stand as Seventeen like today. The COPYRIGHT of SEVENTEEN is being robbed by Pledis! 1. Korean Carats found that the "SEVENTEEN" LOGO has been registered by Pledis on June 3,2017, while SEVENTEEN's debut date is May 26th, 2015. That is to say. Pledis is trying to steal SVT's copyright and trademark just like how CUBE treated towards BEAST (now is called HIGHLIGHT) It means SEVENTEEN leaves Pledis, they will lose the rights to use "SEVENTEEN" as their name. 2. Korean Carats also inquired about the Korean Choreography Association and found that the last song whose copyright is Choreography is registered under SEVENTEEN members was "VERY NICE" (issued on July 4,2016) The subsequent MINI 3, MINI 4, REGULAR 2. snap shoot right? but imo even if mingyu edit and shoot the video himself i'm still quite sure that there must've been some professional's help. bc even tho svt is self producing idols, they still have song producers, choreographers, vocal trainers that help them with their songs. you can easily find those people on youtube made by korean channels (i forgot the channel name). i don't know abt camera and stuff but i'm pretty sure they would at least give him some camera gear bc i think in some scene there's like a big gimball for the camera which i don't think just anyone would buy bc they're very expensive

aica I’d rather have another company (thats better hopefully) buy them out along with the name, members, and songs since Pledis copyrighted basically everything. SVT wouldn’t be able to keep their stage names, group names, and wouldn’t be able to perform their songs because of this. But I don’t think that any company would buy such a expensive group. They’re part of EBS and have a large discography. Unless Pledis agrees to hand over the copyrights willingly to Seventeen, I don’t think the transfer will be cheap.

Seventeen literally do EVERYTHING THEMSELVES. They write their own songs, own raps, choreograph their own dances, even logos were designed by themselves. And i even heard some varities show membered auditioned to earn it instead of being promoted by pledis. They literally do everything themselves and pledis doesnt have to do shit. But in new varities shows the members STILL end up having to share uo to three person per room in bunk beds,, (some had their own room but most dont). Having only THREE mangers mange THIRTEEN people. The job is so stressful that 7 managers quit. And staff steals FOOD from members?!?! Smh

I suddenly remembered when minhyun caught into severe allergic when Nu'est took shoot the "overcome" video. Since one of the scene made minhyun caught into snow storm and the artificial snow made from salt. He ran to the hospital right after the scene take. Aron got caught into severe arthritis for their bad diet in the past. It made Aron constantly being sick and hospitalized. Jr suffered in very young age as a leader at 16. I want to hug JR. Baekho's falsely accused for adultery by haters. Ren's struggle to have his one of a kind androgynous fashion sense hated by many haters in the past. Almost 24/7 sIavery by the promotor in China and japan and zero promotion in Korea. Many more. am very sorry for Jr, Aron, minhyun, Baekho, and Ren. They are strong men and face it together as one. yea i do agree that if woozi weren't there producing great songs which therefore giving them great fanbase, then pledis would go bankrupt. but i think in terms of music producing itself, you can't view it just based on that. there's a lot more people involved than just woozi and hoshi bc it's a lot more complicated than we might think. i believe there's quite a large amount of professionals who help at least half of what they're doing right now. even tho pledis is trash, i believe they give quite decent investment to their groups IF they chose to :") especially nowadays with going seventeen you can know that they at least put some sort of investments to their idols. He debut as the youngest LEADER of a group in Kpop History, and Nu'est was a trending topic. However due to the companies foolish ideas to get foreign backings for their label by sending the boys out of Korea before they even solidified themselves as a household name the company decides to draw up contracts with foreign labels in china and japan which basically tied up their only boy group who then became a forgotten memory in Korea while Exo, SVT and all these other groups that used to LOOK UP TO NU'EST ( even Got7 ) far surpassed Nu'est . Without going to Produce 101 Nu'est would've disbanded and guess what? Even AFTER produce 101 the ceo was STILL going to disband Nu'est. L.O.V.Es worldwide had to BOYCOTT and Mass Promote Nu'est , and get their OLD SONGS to break the charts, and convince brand deals to DROP from Pledis just to ensure Nu'est was kept alive. From then on and until today Nu'est and their fans along with Dispatch has done their own promotions of Nu'est with little to no help from the backings of their entertainment company, while continuing to receive hate from Wanna One and sometimes even SVT's fanbases ( for literally the dumbest things ), and honestly Nu'est is a group with music that lyrically speaks volumes of their talent, they aren't just cute boys who can dance well. They deserve a lot more respect than they get. They are also not "old" like the new generation assumes, they are 95 liners ( except aron who is 93 ) and debut as young teens, and NONE of them are from Seoul originally, so they barely spend time with their families through all of this. being "Nu'est" is all they KNOW which is why they fought so hard and went through public shaming and embarrassment to keep their group TOGETHER. Also, Raina ( from after school ) IS AMAZING AS A VOCALIST. People need to not sleep on her. There's so much I can say about Pledis I can write a whole book as someone who came into kpop as first a L.O.V.E supporting nu'est then got into Hello Venus , and so on. Had high hopes for Pristin, Kyungha is amazing and all the Pledis Girlz promotion made it seem like this was finally going to be a turn around for Pledis. But we were all fooled.

Hellovenus is so promising that time, would probably be bigger than AOA if they continued being promoted, but all of the sudden pledis stop managing them but fantagio continued to support them. Scoups attend every single meeting the staff hold that has any relate to Seventeen just to informed another members about their current situation and future. He's the one who stands up for Seventeen and stops at nothing meanwhile the members doing the job with productions etc. Sadly not every group under Pledshit could be as vocal and brave as Seventeen for voicing their needs. They self-producing everything for their survival. I'm glad that this video is trying to be objective and acknowledging the fact that SVT are being mistreated by Pledis, even to present day. many people due to their sadness and heartbreak of their favorite groups going on hiatus or disbandment blame Pledis for "favoring" SVT. I've been a carat (svt fan) for all 5 years that they've been together for, I remember watching 17project and woozi, seungcheol and soonyoung all talked about if they had not taken matters into their own hands they would not be able to debut. They were trainees for YEARS and pledis would not allow them to debut, so they started producing and choreographing stuff themselves just so they could debut. Even when they did debut svt themselves still make stuff themselves like we would not have going seventeen or the other shows that they give us fans if the members did not fight the company so much for us to have content. They have also been put on a hiatus for almost a year now on the members' individual instagram accounts. If seventeen did not fight so hard for themselves pledis would not exist anymore, and yet they still cannot seem to manage their groups right. Seungcheol has even said before that he puts his members before the company.

There's various performances from any of the music shows for the first couple years where some have maybe earphones in, but it's not everyone. It's been awhile since they didn't all have personal in-ears though.

But in the other hand, I am upset bcs they didn't treat the china line fairly, just bcs The8 make more money for them, they did almost nothing for Jun's china promotion. And I'm watching Seungkwan's Prison Life of Fools. In ep 15/16, Seungkwan win a hotdog(?) and looks very happy about that, I can saw the determination in him. And then one of the cast say, "seungkwan-a, aren't you on a diet? You didn't eat flour for 10 days already" and Seungkwan almost choked from the food. That makes me sad, and he's losing too much weight on his last photo :(

Musical Demigod - Hello, I have more and better information on Minghao’s bad, hypocritical diet choices 😊 The problem with Minghao’s dieting is that for most people it wouldn’t even be a diet: Minghao has a fast metabolism (as you know) and still usually only eats as much as or less than a person with a normal metabolism would (source: Performance Team, both on more exclusive V-app streams and in various magazine interviews). He also skips meals when he feels like the time spent eating would be better spent doing something else. That ‘something else’ is usually practicing dance or cramming for a comeback, both activities where he really needs to be eating more, not less. Because of this, he has pretty much no fat on his body bc all of his resources go to maintaining his muscles. (This is also, as far as I can tell, not Pledis’s fault. I know, it’s shocking, but Minghao’s weight seems to be a personal issue.) I think this is a habit that he got into while learning dance in China, because cutting down on total weight while maintaining high muscle mass reduces stress on the body during high-intensity movements (source: active-duty military family members). The big problem is that not eating enough makes it harder for the body to recover quickly from injury, especially when that body belongs to a growing young person. Because injuries then heal slowly from a deficit in energy and resources, they can slowly pile up until something really goes wrong. Minghao really hurt his back a couple years ago. I’m fairly sure the injury was caused by his core muscles getting tired from his bad dietary habits and the constant stress of SVT’s choreo, and then something just gave out in dance practice one day. Minghao’s ‘health guru’ phase only really started up after that injury, likely because someone finally got through to him about how dangerous longterm muscle fatigue can be. He’s getting better about it, though! Being a part of SVT has helped him grow a lot as a person. His whole ‘health guru’ deal is the only reason he managed to successfully juggle his dual schedules in China and as SVT without getting seriously injured or making himself seriously ill (even if he was skinnier than he should have been while filming CYZJ and QCYN). By doing yoga, taking supplements, practicing self-care, and and all-around doing everything he can to improve his health, he’s managed to really stabilize himself. And now, he’s made a statement saying that he’s actively trying to put on weight! For I think the first time ever!! And I’m so happy that he’s taking care of himself like this!!! Minghao is a bit of a hypocrite sometimes. He’s not perfect. I love him anyway and I want him to treat himself better so that all of his dreams can come true. He’s always told his fans to be healthy bc he knows that his own habits are bad, and now he’s starting to follow his own advice. Let’s be happy for him! 🐸
