So basically... if he was offered 50k and took the deal, it would be seen as good to nock out the 250k, 100k, 75k because with those out of the game he knows he couldn’t have won anymore money that what he was offered. If all the higher boxes were still in the game but in the next round he took out 3 blues that would be horrible for him as he would have been offered more money by the banker after that round and it also means that with less blues on the board his chances of having the 250k in his box increases. That’s pretty much the gist of it👍😂

By accepting the £250,000, you want to sell your box that contains any amount lower than what you accepted.

Fun Fact: Here in the U.S., the children's show "Sesame Street" featured a skit called "Meal or No Meal," complete with puppet-host Howie Mandell. The puppet-contestant selected a covered dish and then had to decide if the items shown were a meal or not (e.g. plate of cookies = no meal). More drama & excitement than this game. This game seems like a legitimate scam to coax old people out of their hard-earned cash. Think about it, it's overpriced as hell, it's based on a TV game show and it's for the Wii which was branded as a console that you could get fit while playing. There is literally no other explanation I can think of as to why this game has so little effort put into it.

So the US version has the 1.5/10 on IGN, with some reviewers even giving it at least a 5/10. Metacritic gave it a 56/100, with a total of 3 mixed reviews and 1 negative review by critics, and 2 negative reviews by users. I think the main reasoning it got anything at all was because of the Mii support or something. The UK version simply has no ratings. Like anywhere. It's so bad it doesn't even exist as a product.

After giving it some thought, I finally understand the "banker" section of the video. After the deal was made, whenever a low value item was eliminated, that means it wasn't the one the "player" had, which increased the chances he made a bad deal (you want to be holding a low value box after making a deal with the banker). Any eliminated box below the deal value would be treated as a bad thing. When the 250k was eliminated, it wasn't the one the player had and the deal he'd locked in was at least that much, so the player had made a good choice making the deal. It doesn't excuse how terrible the game design is, but at least it makes some amount of sense.

By the way the reason they were all booing the low value reveals in the banker mode was because after you deal you play on to see how much you could’ve won. So all the people are like oh no if you’d played on there would’ve been less blues and you would’ve got a better deal. Of course this masterpiece didn’t exactly take into account coding for a 250k deal lol

The thing in Banker mode where they were upset about £5 is because he already took a deal from the bank and usually when you get lower numbers the bank offer gets higher. So they cheered at 250,000 going away because it meant that he made a good choice going with his deal, because he couldn’t have gotten the 250,000

If I were on "Deal or No Deal", then I'd just immediately take the banker's first offer. Because, sure, maybe I could have won the £250,000 box, but if he's offering me, say, £75K then I'm perfectly happy. I turned up, met Noel Edmonds and then someone gave me £75K. Going home with £75K would not be the worst thing that happened that day. Even if I go home with just 50p, then that's still 50p more than I had when I showed up. There is no failure state in this game. Whatever you do, someone gives you money. Expectation management. I'm fine with that. Just give me the money - whatever the first offer is - and I'll go home happy.

When my mom and I watch reruns of Deal or No Deal sometimes (with Howie Mandel), we always end up sighing at the TV amazed that they have a guaranteed offer in front of them and turn it down for the *possiblity* of 1Mil. At the end of one episode, this woman turned down so many good offers she ended up leaving with $1.

I get what you're saying, but one could also argue that you came with nothing so you've got nothing to lose. Because sure, you could take the £75,000, but you (presumably) still have a shot at the £250,000. And since you're going home with something anyways, why not go for more? Again, you've got nothing to lose. Are cash winnings taxed in the UK? If so, how much? I know in the US the federal tax on winnings is 25%, and then depending on the state you live in you may have to pay even more. So if you won $96,000 (£75,000) you'd end up with between $72,000 (£56,346.49) and $62,496 (£48,908.76). If you live in New York City, there's a local tax as well, which brings the total to $59,811.84 (£46,808.16).

For the texture change at 13:57: when he's doing the dance, the box is part of the character model and its texture UV's are wrong.When he puts it down, the box becomes its own geometry and its UV's are correct again. Seems a little sloppy... likely an artist working on assets and character animations wasn't paying attention to details; either that or they had to rush/crunch to get the game out.
