3:47 The crowbar deals 10 damage in hl2, so that would mean the poison zombie has 380 hp. And normally, in hl2, normal poison zombies has 175 hp in easy and normal, 210 in hard. SO, they buffed the poison zombie **or** the crowbar was nerfed. Either way, its still really bad game design to make you fight a poison zombie with a crowbar.

I don't think so, because you don't need a story to make a great game (although a story REALLY benefits games, don't get me wrong), even a half-life mod. You can still make really engaging and fun games without a story. But having a story or any lore benefits a lot. (And i'm not saying this mod the video is about is good.)

Oh man, this mod. THIS. FUCKING. MOD. From the mysterious post-apocalyptic ruins to the not quite right train station with the weird electricity gates to what feels like it might be a ruined megastructure to the futuristic... I think it might be a nuclear missile facility? Everything looks amazing. Too bad it's fucking horrible to play, like an ancient, jewel encrusted chest decorated by the greatest artists of the era and maintained over countless millennia only to contain nothing but the foulest smelling shit in existence. If this hasn't been ported to SFM it should be. In fact I wish more people would make maps like this but for Gmod and SFM. Imagine the aesthetics of these maps with more coherent level design, or used in a context where the weaknesses aren't a problem as sandbox maps.

I love mods that display a stunning lack of care towards the end, but in this one, it's particularly funny to see. I feel like this is exactly how the development process went down: Step 0: Come up with an idea. Step 1: Make a rough sketch and go back later and add detail, perfect issues, polish the concept. Since the devs are seem to be slavic and some stuff on the maps reminds me of cold war era soviet military bases, my wild guess is that plot is about using a system called "Perimeter" aka "Dead Hand" (a soviet/russian system which allows to launch a nuclear strike on enemy even if higher command is dead or drunk) to nuke the combine or their superportal idk

Like other comment up in this section said, making a Half Life game with no story is like making a Portal game with no puzzles. So the creator of creators didn't putted a little effort making this "game".

It's pretty funny since I gave up halfway through playing it because I thought I was too dumb to figure out this ingenuous level design, but now my concerns are validated so thank you for that. I like the maps but definitely not their mechanics and level design. Also, I'm not sure how much of them are made by him but at the very least the custom weapons models were used from Gamebanana [although I think he added the authors in the credits for which mods he used] Definitely something I don't recommend playing often and definitely something you should likely only play once or twice in your life. But these would definitely make for good Garry's Mod maps that's for sure.
