Esme thank you so much for your answer about confidence. I was struggling a lot. I just started riding after a 4 months and I haven’t been able to canter as smoothly as before and I go to horseback riding lessons. It’s really hard when you can see your fellows do so much more than you can. I struggled because there is a group of girls who have been riding for way longer and I can’t achieve the things they do. I just felt embarrassed because they are cantering and stuff when I cant get my horse to trot. I almost quit today after falling off infront of them. Thanks alot.

Hope my question wasn't too insulting❤ It was interesting to hear you say you did the Duke of Edinburgh program. I did the Bronze, silver and gold in junior high and senior high. Was fortunate enough to receive my gold medal from the Duke himself in 1976. He and Queen Elizabeth came to Halifax, Nova Scotia, on their way to Montreal to open the Olympics. What a great program for young people!
