Stayed there December 2002. It was the San Remo hôtel at that time. They had a decent show there . Showgirls of Magic . Looks like things went downhill after Hooters took over .

If you’re visiting Las Vegas don’t be cheap book a nice hotel and spend some money. The Strat and Rio have had rooms renovated and installed food halls these are nice hotels plus a good price for your room.

So I’m completely new to your channel, but love Vegas. I was curious of the OYO because I’d seen adverts for it but wasn’t sure what or where it was on the strip. Turns out it’s the San Remo and later Hooters both of which I have stayed at a long time ago, but never as the OYO.

Well done & useful info. -Enjoying your off-strip reviews. Thx. I agree, they need to give attention to the rooms, & lose that crazy surcharge…and they’d have a fairly decent place actually. We all need a clean bed and clean, working bathroom when traveling. I liked their pool, and the hotel location is not bad. I am wondering why hotels don’t do their own regular black light tests? They must realize that folks are publicly reviewing their places on YT, yes? And yes we all are paying close attention to these reviews! Cheers!

Great review. I had considered this place due to the cheap room rates but the added fees and the lack of cleanliness are a definite turn off. This video did make me think of a question for hotel owners, why are they still using carpeting? Especially if it's a budget property and getting good cleaning staff might be an issue? I would just put down some laminate or vinyl flooring. The cleaning upkeep would be so much easier.

Dannnnnnng, I guess one would have to stay there overnight to get the full experience. But, we went there to eat at the Hooters restaurant because of their wings of course, and had a decent stopping by experience. Won a couple of small jackpots, and the table games seemed okay. Great content by the way.

that is definitely better ( Casino area ) than when i stayed there in 2022.. staff was pretty mediocre at best. my room was.. lower than Motel 8 standards.. really lower than most any "on the road" hotel standard room. not sure i would ever stay there again until they do a full on room renovation.. even then... staff needs a "renovation" as well.. thank GOD for "bikini of the day"..................................... will just have to do with no "bikini of the month" calendar coming out.. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,..,!!!

Not gonna lie...you guys are BRAVE AF for doing a "blacklight test"...ha ha...no way could I do that! That being said, I'd love to see the results of a blacklight test at some of the higher-end hotels as well. I'm willing to bet that some of the rooms at the Bellagio, Aria, Cosmo, Wynn and Venetian would be pretty "well-lit" as well.

I used to take the Lyft from the oyo to the airport there was a pimp/drug dealer who can up to me when I got close to the motel 6 which is next to the parking lot of the oyo lol. Those walls were gross what were people doing on them ha 😂. The oyo hooters is still convenient I have eaten there before catching a flight

Hey Babealabe! Thanks for this video, it is disappointing that OYO is so bad in terms of what is most important - the room you will be staying in. Perhaps this hotel should be called “Oh No.” My husband and I were considering OYO, but not anymore, thanks to your video. Would you be willing to do a video on the hotels west of the 15, Hampton Inn Tropicana in particular? There are 3 hotels in that area, Hampton Inn Tropicana, TownePlace Suites, and Home2Suites. I would be interested in your reviews on these hotels. Keep posting! Love your videos AND your information!

Oh no babes! That was so gross. Now i gotta get a blacklight for my trip next month. I had an issue at MGM one time on the bed where there was dry blood on it. They didn't come to fix it until 2am cuz i didn't see it till i went to sleep at midnight that first night. Apparently house keeping didn't change out the bedding. Thankfully the comped the room and resort fee. Thanks for the video babes. Hope you have a great day 😊

Stayed there in ‘95 when it was San Remo and it was fine. Stayed there in 2005 when they started renovations to become Hooters and it was fine except for the ants under the sink(probably from construction?). I have low standards! 🤣

You can rename a hotel. You can rebrand it as often as you want. But if you know nothing about the casino business, and hire people that are poor casino people, you are doomed to failure. OYO??? Is the perfect case in point. It was not designed for a casino originally. The following owners tried to shoehorn slots and table games in where possible. Some changes were made to the gaming floor. Helpful, but marginally. If the casino isn't making money, you cannot afford the upkeep on the property. It started out as a noncasino hotel. That didn't pan out for HJ. So they sold the place. Smart move. It went downhill from there.

I'm glad you didn't stay in that room. To me, OYO is a place to hang out but not actually stay at. I consider Circus Circus the same. It's a great place to hang out at and visit but not to sleep at.

That PTAC unit where the vent is bent on top of the unit and the floor is stained directly below must be from someone getting it on top of that unit.
