I myself have attempted self-delete along with a drug addiction a few times especially towards the end of my high school years. I'm almost 28 now and couldn't preach any harder to people, that someone is willing to listen, advise, or help you. The hard part is asking for help sure but that's because, especially if your a man, you've grown up being told in some fashion that you should be fixing your problems yourself because "no ones going to hold your hand in the real world." Except its not true, people will hold your hand through your problems. Not to fix it for you, but to both guide you to the solution AND to support you in the hardest, lowest, darkest moments. I had a friend, who I hadn't spoken too in 5 years, call out of work, and cancel/deny any personal plans she had for nearly a month and spent every day with me, listening to my troubles, my pain, my anger. at a time where I believed i was a lone man on an island in the middle of an open sea, she brought me back from the brink.

I work in the funeral industry and funerals for victims of suicide are the ones that break my heart. 2020 was the hardest year for me in regards to my job because half the funerals I did that year were suicide victims that were all younger than me(in in my mid 20s). Yeah. Most of my family, including myself, struggles with depression and anxiety in one form or another. My dad's got full-blown PTSD from *childhood* that wasn't diagnosed until he was pushing *60.* (Like, no one thought that maybe watching his mom almost die would do that?) Suicide is wrong on every level, but I can see why a lot of people feel like it's the only way out. Never actively wanted to kill myself, but I have often wanted to pack a bag and *leave* so I wouldn't be a burden. Or fall asleep and not wake up. The only suicides I have *no* sympathy for are the ones who drag others along with them. Like a pilot deliberately crashing a plane, or someone rushing a cop.
@foresthamilton22432 жыл бұрын
I’m 17 now, and was abused from the age of 13 - 15 by my dad emotionally, mentally and physically I fought and still to this day fight with depression, PTSD and anxiety. I use to harm myself as well and contemplated punching my own ticket too many times to count But let me tell you in the flattest, most straight forward way possible that you should *NEVER* consider suicide, because you’re loved by the people around you more than you could ever comprehend and more than they will ever truly be able to express There is *always* someone to talk to, *always* somewhere to turn, even if it’s a hotline or the police, but never be afraid to admit that you can’t take it anymore Help is available, you can find the help you need and the help you deserve to be able to live the life you want, I’ve been in therapy for 2 years now and it’s made all the difference for me and my dreams and life, along with my psychiatrist You can make it through this, I *know* you can, and I promise things will get better You’re loved

Somebody needs to send Joel and Lia a copy of this with a full explanation of why what she almost did was not a good idea, under any circumstance. @SaguaroBlossom Жыл бұрын
I agree. I saw their full video of their visit to the range, and Lia does this ALL THE TIME! If I remember correctly they basically just made her set the gun on the counter unless she's shooting. Joel is slightly better (that's not saying much) but they both just kinda giggle the entire time. They DEFINITELY don't treat it with the seriousness it deserves while they're at the range. There isn't as much video of it because the RSO didn't want to be filmed. (that'swhy he turned the camera around in this clip) After that terrifying start, he kept a VERY close eye on them, and they couldn't use much of the video with him in it. Joel and Lia aren't dating though, just really good friends. I haven't watched them much for a while, but Joel is gay. (If I remember correctly)

As a subscriber of theirs, I saw this episode and believe me, they got reamed big time in the comments, since most of their viewers are Americans, and know something of gun safety. Remember, they are Brits, and don't know much about guns except they make loud noises.
@ravenzyblack8 ай бұрын
@@zuzax1656- There are plenty of people who are British that use guns, in the UK. Hunting is huge in the UK. They’ve had guns longer than we’ve been a country. That is just a stupid cop out. The RSO person should have taken the gun away from her and made her go sit back down and listen to the BASICS of gun safety. I honestly hope he got fired for that.
@zuzax16568 ай бұрын
@@ravenzyblack It is true that there are many people in the UK that own guns. But the only way you can legally own one is for hunting, which limits them to rifles and shotguns, so naturally hunting is a big thing there. Handguns are severely restricted. Even the regular police force are not allowed to carry a sidearm, relying on batons or pepper spray. only their version of a SWAT team have firearms, at least in metropolitan areas. Their military, like ours, is voluntary. This means that most Brits have never held, much less fired, a firearm before, especially younger people. Now, I agree with you about taking the gun away from her, but we never see what is edited out of these vids. Also, when you are doing something like this for the first time, you can get overwhelmed and forget things like rules and logic. This is one of the reasons I keep saying that these ranges should start inexperienced beginners out with BB guns. They can learn trigger discipline, range safety, and aiming with something that has a very remote chance of serious injury or death. This helps to ingrain the rules into behavior before you get into lethal weapons. Then graduate to a .22. And then, move to the bigger stuff. Most of these ranges start them off with something that the people just are not ready for and no amount of talking will prepare them for the experience.

@wittsullivan8130 Жыл бұрын
Here's a fun fact about the FN M240 and M249 (and even the old M-60). They have take down pins in front and in back of the pistol grip unit. Since they fire from an open bolt (to keep them cooler during sustained fire, air flows into the receiver and chamber as the bolt goes back and forth) when you pull the trigger on an open bolt machine gun, as long as you have the trigger pulled back, it's going to shoot. When you release the trigger a piece attached to the trigger (theoretically) catches the bolt (which the firing pin is attached to) and the gun stops shooting. Winner #1 lost his grip on the front half of a 20+ pound machine gun with his his finger on the trigger. A good chunk of that 20# weight was hanging off his trigger finger, there was no way he could release the trigger by himself. You can have something like that happen when the take down pin on the rear is worn, or falls out. You'll have the pistol grip in your right hand and all of a sudden the top half of the gun swivels down, out of control because the trigger sear can't catch the bolt if it's inches away. At that point, the assistant gunner or someone else has to catch the belt to make it jam or tear the belt off before the soldier shoots his own shins off.

But, that video of the ruskie chin checking himself with a few 7.62’s is just fuckin’ rough. Purposeful or not(it looks pretty intentional if you ask me). It was an immediate “Yikes.” moment. And I’ve seen beheadings/execution shit. Like he said though, suicide is different. When it’s someone taking life it’s, weirdly, not as, deep. I mean it is, ya know, you’re removing a human from existence. I don’t think people really, appreciate, death, I know I didn’t when I was younger. But intentionally greeting death yourself? Nah. I’m, I don’t even wanna say “strong enough”, or, even “weak enough”, that’s a special place. I don’t think I could do that to myself. That really takes a dark place to create that kinda *want*. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

No one cared when I was stabbing myself with a pen in class, no one cared when I was cutting myself when I felt guilty and thought I needed to be punished and the punishment is that cut, no one cares when I burn myself with cigarettes to feel that rush of adrenaline again, to want to live again. People, no one's going to care other than your family and friends. For them, knowing that you're out there somewhere is a force of habit. They know you'll pick up when they call. Maybe not today, maybe in a week, but they know you will. Other than that, no one cares. I know I sound pretentious, but that's the way it is, people. Call a friend, they care while you're alive, they won't when you're dead. And maybe this will get you through this next day. Then another, then another.

She knew about a bit of the shit that had happened not too long before that but I never told her how bad it really was or that I wanted to end it. Then when I sat there, ready to jump, I grabbed my phone to say goodbye to a few people and I got a message from her telling me to please not hurt myself in any way... Idk why but that was what got me to climb back on the road part of the bridge and walk home... It's been four years now. I'm still struggling with basically everything in life but at least I still live... Be that person for someone! Be there. Talk to people. Listen to them. Sometimes that's all it takes, someone who listens. And even if you are overwhelmed with the situation, at least guide them to someone who can help them. Be there for them when they make an appointment for professional help, tell them where they can talk to someone who is able to help. Show people that you care. One simple message or call can change someone's life! God bless you all❤️

Unfortunately, Muslims have a "live and let live" attitude, leaving it up to Allah. If some idiot shoots a rifle in the air and someone on the ground a mile or two away gets hit, it was "Allah's will". If someone accidentally shoots someone in a negligent discharge like the party boys with the AK-47, if they got hit, it's "Allah's will" not the idiot that pulled the trigger. A terrible thing they do is, if someone has a car accident and is mortally wounded, good Samaritans and law enforcement will clear the road of debris, pull their cars to the side to get them out of the way, and give the accident victims some water so they don't dehydrate, but leave them in the car. If they're still alive after so many hours or days, they can take them to the hospital because Allah blessed them. Good news: during the recent wars, a lot of hardcore Muslims would just point their weapons in the general area, ignoring their sights and yell "Allah, ackbar" (Praise God) and completely ignore their sights. That saved a lot of our guys, though.

Sir, your use of blasphemy is a huge turn-off. I'm not going to watch future videos with you in them, if you don't stop.

I don't mean to make Kit more depressed but this video is pretty cool. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6athYJsn7yrZqc It's about a guy who was in the military going to help a bunch of Kurdish people fight. It's a pretty interesting story that the guy is pretty enthusiastic about telling in good part due to him drinking a lot during it. I mainly suggest it because the guy is pretty cool and mostly talks about the wacky things he saw. It is still bitter sweet thought because despite how he talks it's still a pretty bad situation that I think he's mostly just happy to have gotten out alive of. Also it's in a similar format to Seymour's videos which is why I thought of it.
