The worst investment you could ever make is an investment you'll probably make for most of your life. But there is an alternate investment you could make... one that pays beyond simple money.

I am not a millionaire yet but will be soon. But I left the wage slave lifestyle 17 years ago. I have a business that earns $300 per hour I ironically have been working the 4 hour work week many years before Tim Ferris wrote the book. I do need to work the 4 hours to earn but 5 days a week off and the 4 hours I do work are super fun. But I started doing passive income in recent years and I must say when I wake up to $140 PayPal payments for someone buying a product I made two years ago. It feels like, is as if my old Starbucks employer back from my 20’s kept sending me paycheck for a shift I already worked! It is such a fun feeling to receive money and know you do not have to do ANYTHING to earn it.

@@anonymoususer4376 dear anonymous, your comment is misleading and childish 4 years later. M.J's one of the only successful people whose come up allows them to openly share his knowledge. I can't say the same about many others. I look at people like you and really appreciate myself even more. I'm from a place with very little probability of its people becoming successful but hey, wouldn't exchange that for such a mindset.

@@KxngSchillo what's misleading and childish about my comment? MJ Marco is an author. Correct? And he wants you to buy his book. Correct? Everything he said is actually true. But it's a risk. Most businesses fail. And as he says, you can't buy back time. So let's say you risk it and start a business and it thrives until you retire. That's great and you'll look back and say this is the path forward. Let's be real though, how many business owners do you know who didn't work 7 days a week for at least the first few years to get it profitable. Most continue doing it in perpetuity because it's hard work and a lot of responsibility running a business. Now let's say you fail, then he's also right. You lost time and now that you're bankrupt you can work even more just to get back that lost time. You'll play catch up for maybe the rest of your life. There's no right or wrong here. The safe play is to get a job early and buy real estate or dollar cost average in investments. Hope to retire by 55-60. If you want to risk it, that's also fine but know the risks. One thing is for sure, he's trying to sell something to you. I'd beware of that.

What a flawed logic. Employers can fire you at anytime they please. They also ask you to invest in your own equipment/transportation/etc as well... Risk is something they don't teach in public schools. One thing is for sure, you are trying to doubt others not to take risk. I'd beware of that.

@@a_9408 AND you can QUIT anytime YOU please. what's your point?
@financieramente.educados Жыл бұрын
@@anonymoususer4376 You said that "The safe play is to get a job early", it is not safe if they can fire you at anytime and your monthly bills still going. Question is: what can I do to *improve odds* in my favor to reach independence freedom?
@anonymoususer4376 Жыл бұрын
@@financieramente.educados No plan is foolproof and everyone's appetite for risk is different. People become financially independent in various ways so there's no one size fits all. I've never been afraid about not being able to find a good job. I consider myself my own economic engine and invest in myself to stay competitive in the marketplace. I've been laid off twice in my career and it didn't bother me even when I was the breadwinner of a young family. My opinion is that there are always quality jobs for those who have desirable skillsets. As for an investment plan, I think you can't start too early. It doesn't matter if you invest $25 or $2500 a month. Just do your research, have a game plan, and stick with it. Time and compound interest does the rest for you. Real estate is the other reliable way to build wealth. I wish you luck in whatever path you choose.

And what happen if every 7 billion people did this, who work for them ?
@mihaiioc.38094 жыл бұрын
first of all it wouldn't happen because it's depicted as impossible without luck and/or being born into wealth (this very question is proof of the mindset) if every 7 bilion people would do this then it would become unprofitable for new people because there are no more problems to solve without running into new problems, and the bigest universal problem would be lack of employees, this way employees would be paid far more because they're very few, and they will be paid by big companies because they can afford to spend more than small companies and start-ups. this would mean that small buisnesses and start-ups would have no employees (those that need employees) wich means that they won't be able to carry it further and would be forced to get a job at the big company in town, but that's a good thing, because there are few employees and the company needs employees, so you're gonna be paid more than today, maybe even 10 times more (without taking into account unexpected economic changes). TL;DR it would mean that there are more problems being solved and better paid employees. but it won't happen, because people are lazy and stick to the defaults.
