The add-on should be changed to this: While in Hidey-ho mode, reduce the duration of pallet and locker stuns by 30%. If you are stunned by a pallet or locker while in Hidey-ho mode, refresh the duration of Hidey-ho mode. Now it's actually a hard hat that protects us.

i think this add-on is strictly meant to be used with gameafoot such that when you break the pallet, you get haste. Gameafoot is pretty unreliable for a perk so you likely need his friend till end perk or some other obsession swapping to make any useful.

@@dodang_9147 game afoot IS an obsession swapper, and the best, most directly controllable one. It's based on chase time. I use it all the time with rancor on all killers to get under 3 hook kills. Anyway, the change is making it so Chucky can destroy pallets without ending the power, previously impossible due to scamper.

Let me introduce you to freddy's black box- Recently Opened gates are blocked for ASLEEP survs for 15 seconds. No chase buff, no power buff, no anti loop buff, nothing. All it does it block ASLEEP survs from leaving the trial for 15 sec as soon as the gate is open(not all survs, only the ones that are asleep). So if they come off hook, if they dont immediatly try to leave, fail a skillcheck, wake eachother up, or use the clocks you essentially brought 1 addon.

I liked to run the Hard Hat as part of an “Unloopable Chucky” build. Similar to the “Unloopable Legion.” Addons: Hard Hat and Running Shoes Perks: Spirit Fury, Enduring, Brutal Strength, Thanatophobia. (Alternatively you could use Fire Up instead of Brutal Strength, but I prefer Brutal Strength) I’m wondering how the rework will affect this build when it comes out. 🤔

They could have made that scamper gets you out of hidey ho mode. So you'd use your ability more strategicly, either scamper through pallets and windows, or charge but not both at the same time.

I think hard hat is one of those situational addons. Will have it's strengths and weaknesses and it's up to the killer to play around it and choose how best to use it. Kinda like Hillbilly's ultra rare, you're hoping the faster charge up time out weighs the movement speed slowdown

I feel the problem with the pallets is we have now entered the "mind game to your mind game" meta phase. The game has been out long enough that people aren't just aware of strategies, but counter strategies. Newbie tips become commandments from on high. So now you have new players terrified to EVER throw a pallet, especially against certain killers, your Chuckys and Weskers and the like. "No point to throwing them because the killer just ignores them" mindset. And believing that any given pallet is SUCH a precious resource that it must be thrown only in the most critical life or death circumstances. That and believing that YOU believe that they'll throw the pallet, so they don't as a mindgame to get distance while you hesitate and wait for the pallet throw! Except then you unga-bunga charge and swing at them, and they go down having never used their defensive options.

I feel like hardhat's only use is if there is a safe pallet setup that would normally force a normal killer to break it, but yeah its just plain awful on a killer that has other methods of injuring survivors. After the nerf, it might be a slight buff in that regard, since you lose the power regardless after scamper?

By my count you got 7/9 free pallets, but it cost 2/9 instant downs from losing the charge. In both those 2 cases you then got the down anyway a few seconds later. If the survivors had been at your level then yeah it seems very unlikely it would've gone so well, but feels like for the more average/casual player (i.e. not playing in high MMR) the addon will be pretty good.

To be fair, you're not supposed to just scamper the pallet, you're supposed to charge into the scamper so you can continue your attack after, it's kind of hard to get right but if you can master it, it's probably one of his best add ons

I hate the Chucky update. This means that you have to slice and dice to scamper underneath pallets, which isn’t really good because it’s an easy counter (move left or right at an angle). Let’s not forget the devs slowed down scampering and after a missed S&D you have a cool down and you’re a slow killer, giving survivors a long distance from you.

Having played a lot of chucky on the PTB, I assure you ppl won't miss it. Most chuckys rarely scampered a pallet. But we ALL need our power all the time. It feels SO good that I legitimately can't play him until the buff arrives. It's horrible. TLDR- Not being able to manually scamper means nothing when you have your slice n dice most of the time.

@@richt7525 personally i actually disagree. I’ve been maining Chucky since release and trying to reach P100 with him because i enjoy playing with him. Scampering manually provides different mind games you can do to get a hit off whether an M1 or a S&D follow up. Also it weakens two adds that I happen to use that are pretty good, running shoes and yardstick.

And what we get in return is more than comparable. In terms of engrossing gameplay it's a win win. If you truly are a chucky main having your power twice as often is far more valuable. If after playing with it you disagree then you should probably debate picking up another main. Js

Manual scampering is just small part of his ability that’s getting removed which is annoying. I also went through his update list and yah, it gives you “but why” expression. The cooldown on his ability is a huge buff but i wouldn’t be surprised if they will nerf it. But of course you’re not going to listen or even care, after all you played Chucky during the PTB, js.

Hardhat is not a weak add on whatsoever. Killer is all about being efficient, and hardhat lets you be very efficient when it comes to demolishing pallets. If you want truly terrible iridescent add-ons you need to look at pyramid head or Freddy.
