The WORST 'Jet Fighter' at BR 9.0? (War Thunder IAR-93B)

I shan't lie, I'm really not impressed with the IAR-93B sadly. It's pretty mediocre at everything and moderately okay a close air support... what are your thoughts on it? 🤔

Not at all worth it. Turns like a cruise ship and only gets discount R-3Rs. Would've been inclined to keep it if it was the Yugoslavian version with the R--60s. I'll be selling it asap. The Ariete and G.91 R/4 are much better at their respective BRs for grinding and both are premiums

That is kinda what was made to do, do all since it was made by 2 poor(sorry but was early eastern comunism) countries, romania and slovakia(if I remember corectly) and to not make more planes we made a plane to do it all, and the engines are just bad

tip: you can use the rocket pods in place of chaff/flares but don't use them as extra flares on a plane if it already has flares as rockets don't work as well

Honestly, it feels like a slightly worse f11f-1 but you actually dont bleed all your speed when you turn. As long as you go solely turn horizontally you can actually keep a lot of your speed.

It is really good and can hold its own against most. Had a match yesterday at AB went 8-0 kills including Me 163 mig 15 f- 86 with cannons etc.

That's the problem this isn't realy a Jet fighter. This is a CAS. So i recomend use this plane as CAS (its suposue to be use like this, even the stats card says it's not a fighter). Italy on this BR doesn't really have anything that could be used as a cas, and this aircraft is perfect for this, especially since it fits into the 9.3-9.7 playset where there are a lot of light tanks perfect for spotting. I personally use it that way and it's really good at what it does. A full ballistic computer on this BR isn't that common and air-to-air missiles aren't taken anyway because they're occupied by pylons where bombs or unguided rockets could be taken. Additionally, 2 double cannons are perfect for lightly armored vehicles.

Bro G91 YS exist, better plane for air defense and ground attack (Snebs are way better than sk5) ballistic computer and better performance.... this thing in Air RB has to be 8.7 and Ground maybe 9.0 like alpha jet, what i think its better for do ground attack than this thing

Also when you pull up for one enemy, losing all energy, obviously that other enemy will see you as an easy kill, no plane excuse this error, spacially at this br.

​@@alexalex5556 My man, even DEFYN, arguably one of the best pilots in WT has reviewed this plane and he's said that it's really not a good plane. In his own words, the IAR-93B has terrible acceleration so you want to keep it fast but you can't keep it fast because it locks up badly and it has great speed retention BECAUSE it turns badly.

9.0 is just to high for this plane. In an uptier you might as well leave the game. Maybe 8.3/8.7 even in ground rb it’s a sad aircraft. No flares or anything just sad.

IAR-93B is far from the worst. It's good when you know how to fly such planes so I guess it may be the worst if you have skill issues. I have 2KD on it currently and I get 2-3 kills per match with occasional ace 🙃 Hell, I do better in IAR than I do in G.91YS for some reason

Most event vehicles don't have premium bonuses. What people do if the event vehicle is good is to talisman it, but you will still only be able to research a rank below and above.

No idea why people can’t do well in this plane. Its one of my higher K/Ds at 4.87 right now. It requires patience and understanding of both your aircraft and bandit’s, but for skilled players its a very rewarding experience. Calling it the worst 9.0 is laughable
