I was surprised by the half frame announcement, but it makes a lot of sense for the market they're aiming for. After all, the Olympus Pen cameras were aimed at a similar market and were hugely successful. I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I would guess the prices will be between $400 - $700 - depending upon the build quality they go for, but that's just a total guess.

Just found your channel. Well KZbin algorithm just found your channel. Getting back into film. Shooting 400 speed film for now doing landscapes. I just bought a Nikon F100 and loving it. I am disappointed in Pentax half frame camera. Anyway there are lots of Nikon glass I can use on the F100.

Welcome aboard! The Nikon F100 was my first autofucus film cameras. I still have mine. It's a very nice camera and it works with my other DSLR lenses. I have since moved up to the Nikon F6, but I still love the F100. Thanks for watching. Cheers, MH

Pentax is aiming this camera to the youth film shooters. It seems their research shows this to be what they want or what they feel would work best for them. We shall see. But their SLR and medium shooters shall be rewarded for waiting. TP

It is the 35mm that helps us make enough money to buy the 120 and larger format film. And I have plenty of 120 after adding the Orto and P30 to the wall. TP
