I'm in OKC now but used to live in Dallas and worked in the "print district" (STM, Graphics on regal and Performance display and later Integracolor in Mesquite)....right around the corner....used to visit now and then and buy a few items...and I am a "Pentaxian". So glad you are still in business. Nice review!

That's so cool that you're selling them and now a Pentax dealer. I got a Kodak H35 and quite enjoy it, knowing it's just a fun little reusable. I definitely want to get the Pentax 17 before year's end. It just looks so fun! I think Pentax is smart in how they're rolling them out, with plans for other film cameras! Just so glad film photography has reached this level!! Yay!! Happy filmtography!! :)

I just got an om10 off ebay £65. Then I saw this and thought…should I have bought new. Don’t regret my decision.

My dad geve my his collection of manual Pentax lenses, so I got myself a Pentax K1 markII full frame and I'm still very happy with the lenses and the camera. it is nice to use the old lenses you use to borrow from your dad as a kit. they all still work and looks they can be used for years to come.

Nice video, Looking forward to Pentax new film camera offerings, especially a new slr. They still currently produce around a half dozen lenses from the film era with aperture rings that fully work with the older K mount cameras like the K1000. Some of them they have updated the coatings. I believe the range is from 31mm to 77mm including a 50mm macro which I believe they are still making. So besides used lenses if they make a 35mm full frame slr, they are in good shape. Thanks for the video. Whish we had a store like yours in south Jersey again.

Since the 43mm is a full frame lens, 43mm is the effective focal length. On a aps-c camera it would be ~65mm.

The new colorplus box with the straighter lines looks more like Kodak's professional films. I think it might be as simple as just making all their products match each other more. Their professional film boxes like portra, ektar and E100 are mostly just straight lines. Plus, the red and yellow straight line box looks somewhat similar to some of the old Kodachrome boxes, and I mean, that sold well... ... until it didn't.

This was a huge range of information to try to cover in less than an hour, but you guys did great for the first attempt. I agree that hands-on workshops and meetups are a good way to get information for folks who want to learn about large format. Really appreciate that Don's is supporting this effort. There are also a few excellent books about large format photography out there - I can recommend "Using the View Camera" by Steve Simmons. Covers all the basics of equipment and how to start shooting with the camera. I'm sorry I'm not located in Texas, this would be an interesting group to be involved with. Cheers!

Speaking of tripods bogan tripods are great but so are gitzo just depends on how much you want to spend on it. Luckily I bought mine here in China with exception of the bogan I bought on eBay and one other I bought in the store in Okc. I didn’t hear you say much about field cameras like my shenhao or other ones.

I have a large carbon fiber tripod that I use for my 600 F4 that I use for my view cameras
