As an atiny, I have to agree that I was a bit disappointed with Ateez this year. I was really hyped after Bouncy and Crazy Form, and hoped that their combacks this year would be just as impressionable, but Work and Ice On My Teeth just felt really generic. The songs weren't bad by any means (imo, since I bought both the albums lol), but it felt like they were playing it safe with the repetitive chorus and simplistic instrumental.

@@thekpopcroww no I'm not really, there is a little part in music which is objective, it's production of the song and lyrics of course, and so bm's songs have outdated production and structure, which yg uses for ages already, and their lyrics are the worst part, very poor lyricism through all their discography, you don't understand I'm rooting for them, they just need new producers and authors 🙏

I'll give my opinion on some of these :) - Maestro : I really dislike that song. Like you said, they completely gave up on the chorus, like what was that ?? I'm pretty sure no AI was used to make the song but yeah it wasn't good and I'm saying that as someone who has seventeen in their top 5 kpop groups. - One Spark : I have nothing to add, you said everything, the song has nothing interesting, it's not a cute and fun song, but it's also not anything else either - BBB : The chorus is disappointing but unlike Maestro I think it's still listenable so although it's not the best song I still kinda like it (took me a while though) - Work : I understand, I think the song is alright and I like it but compared to their previous title tracks, it's really disappointing - Ice On My Teeth : I sadly agree with everything you said, I like Ateez (although I'm not an Atiny) but after Work I expected something better and they gave us whatever that was... It's not even THAT bad but extremely disappointing and I hope Ateez won't keep going into that direction... - Freak : I kinda liked it at first but then I forgot about it, nothing very memorable. The lyrics also aren't very good - Smoothie : Again, you're right, I'm an nctzen but this is probably my least favorite NCT Dream title track, the chorus is the worst and the rest of the song isn't good enough to make the song good - Meow : I don't think I've ever hated a kpop song so much, overall it's not even that bad but that chorus makes it unlistenable - Mantra : I like it but I agree that it is lacking (I think the ending is the only reason I actually like the song lmao) - Click Clack : I definitely agree, tye lyrics are bad and I could've probably overlooked that if the song wasn't so boring and unfitting for them, especially, as you said, so early in their career. The outro (as you said) is nice but that's the only good thing about the song - Forever : I like it but I get where you're coming from - Sheesh : On the other hand, this is one of the songs I disliked most this year so I agree with you. The prechorus is fine but that's about it, the verses aren't even that good and that chorus... Yeah so overall I mostly agree with you (idk a few of the songs you mentioned) and even where I have a different opinion, I can understand your point of view. People saying you have no taste probably listen to anything their faves put out without trying to form their own opinions or if they don't like it gaslight themselves into liking it cause they need to understand that 1. Not everything is good (and especially not just because it's released by your faves) and 2. People will always have different opinions

Of course everyone listens to trendy music sometimes, but first, you can't assume everyone uses tiktok, because I don't and I don't plan to. And second, not everyone has to like this year's trends, I can be stuck in trends from 2013. Not adding Who, Apt., Winter Ahead, Running Ahead or whatever Jin's songs were speaks a lot. These are some of the biggest names of the industry with so many resources and they are releasing bad overhyped music. I won't be one of these fans who likes all the music from his fav groups (I love BP, BTS and more....) just because of charts and views. My reasoning: Who - The autotune is too much. Jimin is my bias in BTS but this song is his worst (after Set me free). His music was so much better earlier in his career - Filter, Serendipity... Who feels uninspired, below mediocre attempt at dance pop Apt. - that song is just bad, it's not even mid. The chorus is unbearable, the instrumental is overused at this point, the weakest song on her album Winter Ahead - that song is sooo laid back that I almost fell asleep. I love listening to jazz with my bf and jazz does not make you fall asleep. This song is just boring and I won't try to sound artsy to call it good and unique Jin's solo - it is bland, it is so bland. WTF!? is happening with the vocal line of BTS and why their music is soo boring, mid at best. Only the rap line is actually doing great music. For Mantra: I like the song and understand why it is the way it is. You judge her, her body, her actions, her personality so she slaps back holding herself and gives enough output before the album. Same as Yes,and from Eternal Sunshine. It literally gives me the same vibe. I may be wrong but I will wait to hear her album
