Ik it sounds weird but these lines make perfect sense to me: 1) “Turn me from a cat into a dog”: cats seem to be indifferent to their owners while dogs like to stay by your side. Its a metaphor for saying he has changed and wants to be extremely loyal - to an extent that it seems like an obsession (be a pet dog/cat). That explains all the purrs and barks 2.1) ”I be walking with the cheese, thats the queso”: cheese is slang for money, and queso means cheese in spanish. NCT basically flexing their money and the use of spanish is a representation of their global success. 2.2) The whole Taeyong’s part: “racks” also slang for being hella rich, enough to own a spaceship (might pull up in a spaceship) “Hop out, it don't look like I live here”: hes too flashy and unreal that it looks like he doesn’t belong to this world.

Most of ICY's lyrics is all about free-spirited empowerment and standing up for yourself, regardless of what haters have to say. I hardly understand Korean and I knew the general gist of the song. The lyrics make sense since the song is about wealth and money is also referred to as cheese and racks. And so therefore saying they pulled up and are lit + have a lot of money makes sense. The first verse is already about anxieties and wishes as a trainee who might feel "trapped" and wants to show the world their colors and the talent they've worked for after years. I've always thought the song meant after all the hard work to debut, they want to be the best they can be. The post chorus is speaking to their fans/audience that they've got everything you'd want in a group so you should be a fan and "want" them. They'll be the "light" for you!
