My skin is neutral, leaning cool with a grey tinge to it. My surface redness tends to look quite purply. I find that yellow is really effective for me to cover redness. Red and green mixed makes yellow, so maybe yellow is something to try to add to the coverage.

Oh that’s such a good suggestion to add yellow - totally makes sense, and I have always found more yellowy complexion products are good and helping to tone down the redness - thank you!! 🥰 🥰

I forgot about the Eye Pods but you’re right that they are such a fail. I wanted those to work so badly and was bummed that I ended up hating them so much!

I actually love them, especially since I accepted that they are meant to just give a wash of colour on the lids, not a fully pigmented colour pay off. The bisou shade is my absolute favourite shade!

Sometimes the tower 28 tinted moisturizer separates on me to! It's really frustrating. I have found that powdering the heck out of it prevents the separation. I still don't like to baby my makeup.

Thanks for this review, Kate. :) I love the finish of Chantecaille Future Skin foundation (new to me) but the colors for fair and light skin tones are so peachy/pinky--I want the company to work on their undertones. Also, I ordered the Chantecaille cougar eye quartet (I wanted a very neutral palette), unfortunately, I don't use it much because the gray looks patchy on my eyelids. My favorite product of last year is Dior Forever Natural Matte Velvet Compact Foundation (powder)--this is so quick to apply and covers redness so well (I have rosacea).

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! I have the same issues with the Chantecaille complexion products 😞 And what a shame about the quad - I had my eye on that but ended up not getting it. That’s wonderful to hear about the Dior powder - I will put that on my list to try once I run out of my Fenty powder foundation! 🥰 🥰

Hi Kate, thanks to let us know what you end up not liking and why. That was helpful and interesting. Here in Europe we can't return, jused make up. So before I buy something where i am not sure if i will like it, i always see a lot of reviews before I purchase. Only product I regret buying is the charlotte tilbury 12 pan pillow talk eyeshadow palette. Because I don't juse that one so much because of the colors. They lean really orange on the eyes instead of pink ( I was hoping for a more pink look from that palette). But that been said I have pulled it out some time to recreate some eyeshadow look you did with other palettes. But I only juse it when I have lot's of time to play with make up. For me that is almost never. Since I became a mum.

Hi Inge! Glad it was helpful - I know we are lucky here in North America to be able to return a lot of cosmetics - it’s not something I like to do, but really grateful to have that options. I understand about the CT palette - that is really frustrating when the colours don’t translate the way they look in the pan. ❤️ ❤️

Hi Kate 🤗 Those CT matte cream eyeshadows were bloody awful, weren't they? It's just plain weird how bad they were lol. I remember your video where you showed us the Salt NY Sneaky Balm, and I thought it looked so beautiful and wanted to buy it, but when I checked out their shade range, I was disappointed because I didn't find one that would work for me. So a short while later, I was placing a Sephora order and one of the samples they were offering was a KVD Good Apple foundation balm card, so I tried it, and I love it 😍 It's been my go-to foundation this winter. Speaking of winter, we're getting our first real snowfall of the season (on January 25th, I know!) here in Toronto, and it's sooooo pretty outside ❄💙 Xander would love it! XO, Cathy

That’s wonderful to hear about the KVD balm - I have heard such good things about it so I’m glad to hear that you also love it! For me, the Monika Blunder is filling my balm foundation needs for now. Can you help me? Unrelated topic, but I have LE Palazzo & I’m trying to pair a lipliner. Do you have CTillbury lipcheat pencil in Kiss N Tell? Is that close? Do you have another suggestion?💋 Trying to keep it that more neutral red that works for me! 💄

With red lipstick I’ve found it’s usually best to use a liner that’s closest to your natural lip color maybe one or two shades deeper at the most. It will basically achieve the same look you’re describing.

Susan’s tip is great, and would work well. I don’t have that CT pencil.. I would say the best neutral red liner from LE that I could recommend would be Jazz (I don’t have that liner but the matching lipstick is a nice neutral red) or Enchantment (maybe a little brighter than Palazzo but would go very nicely!) 🥰 🥰
