Fair, but one full update for one useful block (which wasn't even added for the intent of redstone) is still pretty bad.

actually it was added for redstone, redstoners have been asking for multiple slime block style blocks for months before that update@@Fliffan

1.15 was meant to be nothing more than a bug fixing update. The bees were just there as a bandaid so there'd be SOMETHING new in the update.

The 1.15 uodate mainly focused kn patching bugs and better optimization(you can see the changes when you switch from any old version to 1.15), the bees were just a placeholder

Very underrated, remember me when you blow up! I think that the last really good update was 1.16. While the caves and cliffs was phenomenal, it was three updates. I think a big part of this is that Mojang's reputation has been declining a TON recently, and I think they are trying to be really careful on what they add because they don't want to make a big mistake that ruins their reputation further. I will say though, they are doing a TERRIBLE job

On top of that, I think Mojang is under a TON of stress as people were telling them 1.20 didn't have enough content, so they tried to add more but took too long, and then got dunked on for how long it took. I just think they are struggling with both adding a ton of content as well as on time, because they are both important, but if they add the wrong content that can be detrimental to Minecraft. I am willing to bet the reason 1.16 was so big, was because they were actually working on it during production of 1.15, and released 1.15 because they needed to release an update or players would be angry at how long they are taking. That way, they had MUCH more time to work on a big update. I think they shoul take a year to add 1.16 type updates or 1.17/18/19(all in one) into the game. That way we all get that surge of new content.

The fact that they got lazy and decided to separate 1.17 and 1.18 when they should’ve of just been one update is just kind of disappointing

Actually, the reason they separated the updates was because they realized that the large terrain changes caused performance issues and bugs. They needed extra time to fix all of this and get it working smoothly. Be glad they took the time to make sure that the game was polished.

As someone who likes Redstone very much I personally find honey very good. but thats the only thing the update really added thats kind of useful for me

I'm afraid I have to disagree. A good update isn't something that totally revamps the game. All it needs to do is add something fun! 1. 1.15 added the best food in the game (due to being able to have a full bar of saturation by eating after being full) 2. A game-breaking redstone block 3. Some of the most used decor blocks 4. A massive amount of bug fixes Also, they were preparing for the Nether Update??? Yeah, that needs time.

One of the biggest reasons why mojang sometimes fail to deliver like 1.10 and 1.15 is because us. We as a community sometimes put a lot of stress on them, like recently armor trims were added and everyone was like this is dream come true and custom armors blag blah blah and now we say its bad

Having a massive decrease in the quality of an update for the sole reason of working on a different update is not a good thing to do. They should've combined 1.15 and 1.16.

​@@Fliffan They shouldn't have. 1.15 is a technical update, so nowadays it would've come out as 1.14.X, but at the time when 2 updates were released each year, making it a separate update was the most obvious and logical option

It's a very small update but I definitely wouldn't call it bad and consider it the worst. The features were pretty cool, especially honey blocks which are extremely useful in redstone, parkours etc.
