Some context on how this film turned out the way it did: On top of the time it took to negotiate rights for the mascot characters, story goes that foodfight's director didn't have much (if any) animation experience, and seemed to demand changes on a whim. These included suggestions to make scenes "more awesome" or "30% better". He was eventually kicked off the project due to all the delays, and the film was cobbled together from whatever the studio had, uh, "finished".

Oh yeah, there was a bit between meeting the chocolate vampire guy and returning to the Copa Banana. Not much besides revealing that there used to be an ike for Priscilla Pusly's Genetically Giant Prunes. ...So remember Roger Rabbit? When Eddie talked about the toon who murdered his brother, and how that one toon tarnished his love for humor? Or Wreck-It Ralph, when Felix explains the backstory of Turbo, and why he fears Ralph is making the same mistake as him? Here? The reason Priscilla's product was recalled is because...she's ugly. Yeah, that's it. Ugly. Oh, and the vampire laughed about how ugly she was. Riveting, right? And yeah, this ties into Lady X's big reveal (after her Mr. Clipboard mech gets toppled) that she was Priscilla the whole time. There's barely much shock from the others in this scene, and she decides now is the best time to dump all her backstory in one go. Remember how startled Eddie was to see his old enemy's burning red eyes? Or how much more unhinged Turbo was when Vanellope's glitching disrupted his disguise? MAN, I miss those already!

Like, play this up more like a straight Noir mystery film with Mr Clean as a detective that's looking for missing icons, like Uncle Ben, Cracker Jack and the Land-o-Lakes indian girl. Have him straight talk Aunt Jemima, Charlie the Tuna, and even a Hannibal Lecter scene with the Noid. And play the whole thing, even the silly lines and product puns completely straight. Mainly because this film idea could only really work when playing on how silly the premise is. Even a detective duo with Brawny lumberjack.
