Fun story - I've had the honor of being a guest at quite a few anime conventions over the years for doing webcomics. I would do an MST3k show and would make it abundantly clear the one movie I wouldn't do ... is Space Thunder Kids. Two conventions in a row cackled with glee as they said 'We have THE WORST movie for you' and they were right. So right. Painfully right.

I dig the "cult classic" angle, because it lets you show your audience decent films that they probably haven't heard of. You can mix positive and negative analysis and keep a more even vibe. Sprinkle in some real stinkers depending on how you're feeling that month. Keep on trucking Sir!

I still remember being in the waiting room before starting my chemo watching his Godzilla videos. I watched a lot of his other videos while recovery at home. It's coming up for 5 years now.

Hi Brandon, this is some info for Space Warriors 2000: Space Warriors 2000 is a 1985 film made using footage from The 6 Ultra Brothers vs. The Monster Army, Ultraman Story, Ultraman: Great Monster Decisive Battle, and Ultraman ZOFFY (Which itself consisted mostly of stock footage). It was based off of a Thai reissue of Hanuman vs. 7 Ultraman entitled Hanuman vs. 11 Ultraman. The film was created by Sompote Sands and Dick Randall (a foreign distributional partner of Sands), without the permission of Tsuburaya Productions. The film aired only a few times of American television before Tsuburaya sued the two, as the film was never aired again.

Your comments on Zaat's pacing remind me of an editing project I had been a part of awhile ago. My project partners had initially edited the project without me (I think I had been working for that first part) and they encountered a problem. One of the project requirements was the video could be no more than ten minutes but the footage edited together was like 15 but when I took a look, it turned out it was because they kept the shots going way too long.

His most recent movie, Dark Glasses, is a MAJOR improvement over Dracula 3D. It's not quite as good as his '70's and '80's stuff (this is coming from someone who calls Suspiria his favorite movie of all time), but it's a step in the right direction.

Like I'm not going to pretend Story Of Chinese Gods is any good but the incredibly bad Joseph Lai dub just renders it incomprehensible. And Space Thunder Kids is what happens when a Joseph Lai dub comes to life and tries to edit a movie together from five different movies.

I do think it is pointless seeing it reviewed constantly because it is all stock footage there's nothing to say about it that hasn't already been said. I don't fully think it's bad seeing different people review the same movie all the time just because it can be fun to see what other people have to say.

I worked on the universally despised POS that is Creepshow 3. I remember lying on the couch, reading the script. My heart sank on page 2. I later found out that some of the scripts came from office interns. True story. And the fact that it was filmed at Universal Studios is equally as baffling.
