When I was in England, I knew a guy called Yves. People always wondered what kind of parents would call their son Eve.

I almost got called ken because of an American character, then everyone asking my mother about my planned name went "oh like barbie's husband." So she decided to change my name.

My aunt wanted to name my cousin Gaylene but then my mum and dad adopted a dog whose name was Gaylene (or Gay for short). Aunt was really angry about it for awhile and chose a different name. In the 90s she told my parents how glad she was that they had a dog named Gay (back then it meant both lame and homosexual).

In French, "ken" is a slang for "niquer" = to fuck. You dodged a bullet pal

There's this NPC in a game I play that is called Fion in the English version. As a baguette, I had a good laugh when I met him, of course! Fortunately, they changed the name for the French version (Fionn). But still, I sometimes see him and the "Fion" above his head and I can't help but giggle like a child.
