I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects, for me Naruto Storm Connections it doesn’t feels like a new Storm game at all, they changed only a few buttons commands and nothing more, the fact that they removed Tilts and they put the tilts moves on the second jutsus it's pretty lame, disappointing and lackluster, not to mention that they removed the jutsus selection completely from the beginning of the fight. 🤦🏻‍♂️ This game feels more like an update DLC than like an actual New Storm Game. But honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion) 5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻‍♂️

i am 1000% convinced that they made all these terrible changes to attract those new players who refunded storm 4 because they couldn't be bothered to practice and catch up to the stablished storm playerbase. It all points to an attempt of making one look like they're doing cool shit regarless of how ass they were in the previous games. Making a combo out of everything, picking opponents off the ground, safe jutsus, getting infinite resources. Instant pick up the controler and fill the screen with particles, otherwise the changes make 0 sense because they sure as hell aren't in the benefit of skill based gamplay, balance, or fun. It always bothered me when people called storm "a button mashing game" just because it's not in the traditional style of fighting games, it took timing and resource management. THIS was the game that arena fighter haters thought storm 4 was.

I SWEAR, Storm 1 had so many cool things that I really wish they would add back to the series. BRO I swear I kept seeing people say that this game doesn't take skill and while I'll admit that it doesn't take MUCH skill, you can tell by looking at people's movement and how they jump out of their combos if they know how to play or not. On paper and on the surface this a circle mash game, but there was always more to it. Back in the other games if somebody ran Hinata it meant they were either really good at the game, or they weren’t but they liked Hinata. One thing that I found kinda annoying in past storm games is how you constantly had to charge your chakra, which is why I like the chakra regen. Otherwise I would have to use trainers and give myself infinite chakra lol. But I can see how things can be annoying in this game though. Side note... I have perfected Karma Boruto's infinite combo. 😅

Now BECAUSE you said you don’t play online, I could see how you would like a lot of the changes and I’ll say that for offline play they’re actually good. The only problem is people in ONLINE, will abuse things and pick whatever is meta and not play to have fun like you usually would offline. So a lot of people will utilize the automatic chakra regeneration to spam Jutsu and because it comes back automatically, it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to punish them for doing so. But before in other games you had to manage your Chakra because it didn’t just come back on its own. Meaning that if you spammed Jutsu, you would run out of chakra and needed to charge it, which would give the opponent a chance to be offensive. Since you can’t punish someone as easily in Storm Connections, it makes spamming Jutsu and running away even stronger, and even when you do try to be offensive, their chakra will come back WHILE you are combo’ing them. So they’ll just let you hit them a little bit, substitute behind you and immediately do a Jutsu. Sorry for the long comment but I just wanted to fully explain why changes like that are bad for online play

In my opinion the older games were better (the Naruto Clash of Ninja games are my favorite personally), sadly for now the only Naruto games we really have are the Storm games. There’s Naruto Shinobi Strikers but I’m not a fan of that one. My recommendation would be the Naruto Storm Trilogy (MAKE SURE you get it at a cheap price though it should be REALLY cheap like less than $30)

Honestly if they had balanced the fighting mechanics better this game wouldve been far more bearable to play and a video like this wouldn’t really be made in such a negative light. I can officially say if they don’t course correct this game, it will be the last time I will ever even think about playing this series for a while and I know that Sparking Zero will easily fill that void. Listen, I agree with you that the game is bad, but you kinda need to explain yourself better. The point about justus being too spammable because chakra regen + invincibility frames + cancellable is clear and self-evident. But why is it bad that tags do more damage? Or that infinites and UJ cancels are easier? In previous games, characters could still do infinites and UJ cancels, it's just that on some characters like THE LAST Sasuke they were piss easy, while other characters couldn't do them at all. By making it universally easy to do combos, CC2 has indirectly buffed a lot of weak characters and made them more viable. I'm not saying you're wrong for disliking these features, I just feel like besides the jutsu spam, you need to be clearer about WHY these changes impact the game negatively. WHY is it bad that you can combo from grabs? WHY is it bad that damage is higher across the board? It's not as self-evident as you think. Maybe you should've kept that script, it might have clarified these things.

Good comment, in hindsight I agree that script would’ve made things more clear lol, I just sorta let the anger take over. Anyway, I preferred the way combos and Ultimate Jutsu cancels worked previously because it actually required a bit of execution and you could easily mess them up (unless it was The Last Sasuke cuz his was dumb). I wouldn’t have minded if they just gave everyone a combo that makes the enemy character bounce off the ground and you could do a cancel that way, or better yet they have the same thing that they actually have in Storm Connections where they slowly fall to the ground but instead of you having a million years to combo off of it, they AT least make it to how it was in other Storm games where at the very least you had to jump in order to continue to combo, otherwise you would just continue the regular combo. But instead, they essentially just gave EVERYONE The Last Sasuke’s combo cancel. And the funniest part about it is that even though you’re completely right that it makes weaker characters better, people STILL aren’t going to play them because NOW being able to cancel your combo doesn’t matter NEARLY as much in this game, the Jutsu does. People aren’t gonna play the weaker characters because they can do combo cancels, they’re just going to pick the strong characters that have stupid Jutsus AND on top of that, their combos will automatically be easy as shit because they made them universally easy. When you threw a tag in the other storm games you had to immediately follow up with an attack in order to combo off of it, but in Connections the stun lasts way longer and I’ve literally had people throw a tag from half screen and dash all the way over to me and get a combo when previously, they would not have been able to do that. And you can combo off of all of them except the explosion tag (and the ones that buff you) and previously, most of them were a quick single use to either extend your combo for a bit of extra damage without using chakra, or to just get the person off of you if it was a bomb or explosion tag. So now it just feels like nothing requires ANY execution and you can literally be falling asleep on the game and still pull off a dumb combo. Doesn’t matter if it was a Throw, a Jutsu, a Support, an Item, or just you mashing until you see the stun where they fall, everything is just dumb, to me anyway. And Poison Tag does not have Scaling on it so it will ALWAYS do a chunk of damage and it feels terrible to get hit by. I played A LOT of Ranked in the Storm games so most of my issues are coming from THAT environment of the game. If you don’t play Ranked or a lot of Online matches, you probably won’t experience a lot of the game’s bullshit, or you won’t see it as bullshit because it won’t be getting done to you game after game. But that’s everything I think. Again, I appreciate the comment i’ll try to remember to lay out all my issues clearly in future vids.

I actually didn’t realize his Jutsu did that but it’s just yet another reason why he’s meta. I believe PTS Neji also does something similar with the Chakra, but it’s only his second Jutsu. He’s a lot less popular though, most ppl will just pick Older Neji over him.

I FORGOT to mention the fact they pretty much lied about the character count. Making Two Hinatas and then giving them different outfits and naming one of them, "Hinata Uzumaki" while making their movesets the EXACT same is NOT you making a new character. They did that shit for pretty much all the Leaf characters in the Boruto era, their movesets are the exact same as the Shippuden versions, they just have a new outfit. The only exception is Kiba since he got a new dog. Getting those other characters like you said would've ACTUALLY been good. But nah that would've taken actual effort which clearly these idiots didn't wanna put in.

Nah that'd be true in any OTHER game, but this is Storm Connections. Literally in ANY other game you would be right but because it's Storm Connections, you are 100% fighting the game mechanics more than the actual player. EVERYONE who is, "try hard" in this game is just going to play a broken team to go along with their skills. I'm TELLING you from experience, there is no "SKILL" in this Storm. If you play a COMPLETE honest team against a team with meta characters on it, you are more likely to lose than you would be in any other Storm. Either play meta characters too or lose against people who are.

Fun fact that Blade Dance Jutsu is bugged where if a certain part of it hits and the person cancels it, your character will just stand there and you can't block or sub or do anything for a couple seconds. So they can just Ultimate you if they want.

Well some of those would definitely be better. I’ll say this, I think Storm 4 was the most balanced Storm. Most of the broken things in that game were exploits that weren’t intended to be in the game. Not only is Storm Connections EVEN MORE BUGGY with dumber and stupider exploits, but it also is intentionally unbalanced. They WANT you to spam jutsus, which is why you are completely invincible during them AND your chakra comes back on its own. They WANT you to Spam items, which is why they buffed them and made (MOST) of them more potent so now you can EASILY combo off them or just chain them all together AND they come back after a couple seconds. Not to mention poison does NOT have scaling attached to it so you are ALWAYS guaranteed to take a lot of damage off of any poison (keep in mind some characters don’t even need items to poison you and can do it with a Jutsu). With Storm 4 they took most of the mechanics from the other Storm games and focused on balancing them to make them a little less frustrating. This game they went in the complete opposite direction and made everything EXTRA annoying to deal with. I think most of the things you suggested would actually be pretty good changes. I actually don’t think supports need to outright disappear if you get hit, just do it like Storm 4 where it’s possible to actually hit them more often than not, so they aren’t COMPLETELY bailing someone out of a combo and completely flipping the situation to where now the person who was DOING the combo, is now getting a combo done on them all because of a support that does that. @@Wano-Kuno exactly 😂 This is what I was talking about when I said she sucks in the series. When it comes to Shonen Anime, characters are typically remembered/liked more, when they have good fights. I remember Hinata, but in both of her major fights, she got COMPLETELY DOG WALKED, so that’s what I remember most about her. Don’t get me wrong she has GREAT character moments and nice traits so she’s definitely a good character, but in regards to her place in a Shonen Anime, she’s unimpressive (and sadly MOST female characters, not just Naruto but Shonen in general, have terrible showings as far as combat is concerned). This is why people say Kishimoto doesn’t know how to write female characters even though that’s definitely not the case, it’s just that the females FEEL underutilized because they don’t have good fights and most people watch Shonen for fights so all people focus on is how cute they are or who they should be with.

At this point, the only reason to play Naruto Storm Cash-grab is to briefly try out the new characters. CC2 has got to go from anime games period because they haven’t been able to make good gameplay for their games for a long time. Demon Slayer’s gameplay is lame, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot’s gameplay is tedious, repetitive, and boring, and now Storm Cash-grab’s gameplay has shit covered everywhere. The only thing CC2 can do now that has made games like Demon Slayer and Kakarot get some praise is make amazing cinematic cutscenes. Visual game design is the only thing CC2 can do now that’s still astonishing. Other than that, these devs shouldn’t be allowed to make games again. Storm needs to die. Revive the Clash of Ninja Revolution series.
