(and yes, unlike a lot of remakes/remasters, this one has actually been HEAVILY asked for by Xenoblade fans. its not like certain... other companies... releasing a remaster of a game for a current gen system that can already be played on that current gen system if you have a copy of the last gen version of the game) Its just constant speculation, rumors, "leaks," and moving the goal post not just with this channel but with all Switch 2 obsessed nutcases. While Zelda has been a disappointment (to me) lately and that was the franchise I actually liked from Nintendo, I found out about Xenoblade and have fell in love with it to the point that Nintendo has me for the first time grabbed forever. I played all Xeno games on the switch because it is my first owned nintendo console since the SNES (I borrowed my cousins consoles just to play the latest zelda) and I'm very happy I can play the only elusive title in the series to me since it was stuck on wii U. I'll be there day one, who cares about NS2

The fact that his response to a port of a massive Wii U game, one of the best games on the system and one of the last big Wii U exclusives still stuck on that system, which has ALSO been HIGHLY requested by countless Xenoblade fans, is to go "wtf Nintendo, this isn't Switch 2" is just pitiful. And its not even like a certain other company releasing remasters of games for the current gen console that was only released several years ago and can already be played on that console if one has a copy of the previous gen version.

It makes more sense that Nintendo likely wants to go out with a bang with Switch this holiday season and then move to something else; The Switch was a HUGE saving throw for Nintendo coming off the end of Wii U. I get gamers want the new shiny thing, but let's look at this from a business perspective and not a "unga bunga, me want Switch 2 now!" After this announcement, 100% they're announcing Switch 2 in March with a launch date roughly a year from now.

They have given us new Mario Party, Zelda and Mario and Luigi games, in the last year of the Switch. That’s a pretty handy lineup. The Switch 2 hysteria is not a Nintendo problem. I've been on team 2025 for a switch 2 reveal this whole time. I figured Xeno Blade chronicles X is coming out for the current switch consoles. The Xeno Blade chronicles franchise sells really well on the current switch consoles. This is a very good thing for Xeno Blade chronicles fans. I was very down about no sign of release but something that helped give me clarity is kit and Krysta recently put out a video on Nintendo’s line of thinking and how they want to wait till there’s almost silence for Nintendo to make a new announcement. It is WILD that this dude really expected a Switch 2 announcement before Christmas. Since last Christmas, Nintendo has released a Princess Peach game, a Luigi game, a Paper Mario game, a Zelda game, a Mario Party game, a Sonic game (not released by Nintendo, but on Switch), and there’s a new Mario & Luigi game, a Dragon Quest game, a Donkey Kong game, a Metroid game, and a Xenoblade game scheduled for release. MOST people don’t buy every new game day 1. MOST people would take YEARS to play every Switch game. Why would Nintendo ever release ALL those games, then effectively say, “oh but don’t worry about buying those, we have a new console coming”?

I can get why people would be annoyed with remastered and remakes of old games and I understand that people want new games, but the thing is making a new game isn’t that easy to do and let’s face nearly half of gaming companies are going to go A.I. at some point and we all know how that will go 😬😰. Making a new game takes time, patience and care into making it, after all you gotta make a story, the world and the characters and most importantly the plot, also if you rush into making a new game your just going to end up with disappointment of how bad it is. Nintendo are probably doing this so they can get more time to make new games, not to mention so many people probably ask them to remake this or make a remastered of this game. Also even if they do make a remastered or remake of an old game at least fans of that game will get to enjoy it again, especially which year it was made in.

I'm so sick of waiting for the switch 2 announcement that I no longer care about it. They've out ran my patience.

I mean they did say till the end of the financial year. That includes next year till March. So January and February were always on the table. It is coming just wait a few more months. Play some older games, heck play some new games like the Zelda game or Mario party to pass the time. Cause once the new switch comes out all your time will be focused on it and the new games. Now is a glorious time to smell the flowers and enjoy stuff while things are less hectic. That’s what I’ve been doing all year as a Pokemon fan similarly starved for a main line entree or any information. (Well besides the Tera leak but like that’s more for hard core fans than a new game ya know).

Just like that we know the next main game's name but not much else so a lot of the year we've had to wait and not get a lot of new details. So it's kinda like that at least in comparison to switch 2. I just came back from Walmart & all I can say there is not going to be Switch 2 as the shelves for the Switch is stocked full along with the new bundles. Vs PS5, which they have cleared the shelves getting ready for the Pro model. I always knew Nin wasn't going to do a Switch 2 & said they will wait until Switch does 10 years. Yeah they will come out & do little updates to announcing Switch 2 with the account transfer that is important to moving to Switch 2 release & if they feel the account transfer is still being worked on then Switch 2 is not going to get released. So for now enjoy what's coming for OG Switch.

Hey Zach. Just wanted to mention I wouldn’t take this news all too bad. It news about a game loads of people wanted. Switch 2 or whatever it will be called will eventually be announced. I’ve loved my switch from the moment I got it and still do. I know it’s starting to show its age a bit but for the most part there are so many games available to play that are fun and exciting. I remember when there was only a small handful. Stay positive my friend. Our time will come when we see that beautiful new system. ✌🏻

The biggest issue is people or should I say, KZbinrs tried to dig into it for like 2 to 3 years for a Switch Pro, then for Switch 2, and it’s been so long that everything feels like a reach now. But with an inkling of hope. But it’s also tiring to constantly think about after all this time.

Literally not even 1 MILLION people played XCX on the Wii U, the DE is gonna be putting itself on a console with over 14 times the users who have the Switch. It’s simple logic really.

Honestly, I think they likely use X and Metroid Primr 4 as games to sell the new system to their hardcore fans. I mean, not like we wouldn't need a reason not to buy it. But getting people interested and showing side by side comparisons of how beautiful the game looks and runs on the Switch 2 vs the original Switch is decent marketing. Also, it helps them pad out the launch titles by showing off backwards compatibility.

Nintendo often round of console generations with remasters and remakes so this makes sense in the big picture. And doesn't mean that a Switch 2 and its games is close. Would be worse if they hold a whole Nintendo Direct with the regular disclaimer that the Switch successor won't be mentioned. But now? One game doesn't contradict an announcement. It's rather a good point for that it will be announced and probably with Switch games with it - as they probably will show off bc with it.

Switch 2 is lining up for a February 2025 reveal now, I think. Unlike past console releases, I expect they will do a big unveil, with preorders going live within a week, and shipment within two to three months.

To be fair, while I do have Xenoblade Chronicles X for my Wii U, it was too ambitious for the system and required nearly a full install to make the disc version run decently, is now missing the online features (I think it even had Miiverse functionality at one point), and ended on a cliffhanger, all of which will presumably be fixed in the new version. But yeah, I kinda had the same reaction, that it meant either a longer wait for the full Switch 2 announcement or a longer wait for the system itself. Unless it's meant to be cross platform between the Switch and Switch 2, because to be honest, I'm not sure the Switch is the right fit for the game, either. It's an open-world game with mechs, and one youtuber reported that he was able to fly in said mech from one end of the map to the other in around 23 minutes. The Switch struggles mightily when you try to do that in Echoes of Wisdom.
