I have heard poor versions of our national anthem but never anything as horrendous as this. "O Keniduh"? What could possibly be the reason for that pronunciation? This is what happens when two (possibly) competent singers decide that they know the song well enough that (a) they don't need to rehearse, and (b) they decided (independently) to sing harmony without telling the other.

No....regardless of a monitor he is singing the first 3 words out of tune. Any half decent singer can sing the first three words in tune without a monitor. Is he singing it in E or Eb? who knows! Then add those "harmonies" and you 've got a disaster!

At least he was hitting the notes if you can ignore the fake accent and resulting terrible pronunciation. She sounds like she started out in a different key than him, and then when she figured it out it was still the worst choice of notes for harmony she could possible make for a national anthem.

Yes, I agree, it really was the interplay of the notes she sang, against his, that was the issue. He did have a couple if suspect notes, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be if I concentrated on what he was singing
