There’s actually flat foot correction surgery. Many people have had great results but I’d definitely do further research to see success rates and know the risks
@davideesposito6876
@davideesposito6876 2 жыл бұрын
@@izabellapollock I've did it. There obviously are risks, just like every other surgery, but it worked! Now I don't have pain anymore, the ankles don't "fall" on the inside anymore and I have the arch on both my feet. The hardest part of the surgery tho is rehab. In the first week they hurt badly, and you need to "learn" how to walk again, you have to move around with a wheelchair and, when you can stand up for more time, you can walk with crutches, and you have to wear some sort of "ankle protection" that stabilises and protects them for some time. I had to do all this thing for a month/two months, but only in the first and second weeks I had to walk around in a wheelchair. Talking about the results, I've had an 85% correction on both sides, meaning that the problem has been greatly reduced, so now it doesn't make an impact. And it sure doesn't: I restarted playing football and now I workout too, and I've never had any problems with them. The only thing that can happen is that sometimes, in the first year, sometime they would hurt, but now I have 0 problems with them.

I can share with you what I did to fix my own body. I had flat feet my whole life up until 28, at that point I'd had 3 chyropractor visits but only when I really needed it due to money constraints. There's a whole long story to how I came to doing what I did but I'm gonna skip past that and just get to the details. I started sitting on the flat ground at my house if I was home, every day for 3 years to this day. Slowly but surely I worked on a goal of Lotus Pose with good posture. It's been a slow journey but it's been so gratifying seeing my flat feet morph slowly, the crease lines fading and new one's forming and those ones fading. I can confirm that my method has periods of pain too though, I came to watch this to relate to someones foot pain as my left foot is going through a shift and the big toe knuckle is being a real pain right now, but it's nice feeling how significantly my foot and ankle is trying to change right now. And 1000% my feet look so much different from when I started, I don't even like to think about what my life was gonna be like if I didn't start ground stretching/sitting.

I had a neuroma in my foot, I just got some foam while I was working and cut and added pieces to a full shape of my foot with extra layer right under the neuroma, pain was instantly gone. After a few weeks or so I took them out and the pain started a little but then at some point there was a pop as I walked and the pain went and has never came back. I still keep a thin layer of foam in my work boots now to prevent it happening again.

Not exactly true. It ALWAYS helps to train the muscles, especially if it hurts!!! Look up Knees over toes on ankle sprains for example. I've had pain just walking normally with orthotics. I do intense exercise 3 times a week, minimum, lots of jumping and running. You get stronger arches if you BUILD them. Some have them normally. Flat footed people need to BUILD them up! Of course this is only my experience as someone who suffered from pain because of it, so please go to a (proper!) specialist.

@@teehee5700 If you want to learn more about how the foot works, you should look into Gary Ward's Anatomy in Motion (AiM). If your feet are flat and you can't form an arch, then you can relearn how to supinate. I don't know that is why you have a back issue, but there are ways to help your feet out. I am better at pronating on my left foot and better at supinating on my right foot. I have worked on pronating/supinating my feet and it has been quite helpful, I have a better range of motion and less foot pain. It is somewhat involved, but straightforward once you get the concept down. It is just new to a lot of people. I'm in my mid 20's and it helped quite a bit with my feet problems.

@Itstime1231
@Itstime1231 3 жыл бұрын
@@kungfukenny8098 short answer is yes. my arches did go up some, but I was also recovering from spraining my ankles so my feet had gotten flatter then went more to their natural shape. It's important to learn both suppination and pronation. I'd look up Gary Wards "Anatomy in Motion" for a very friendly layman's class on it. $10. He has an Instagram and website as well. I don't think flat arches are a big deal as long as you can still do what you want with them, that being to pronate and suppinate.

Flat feet in adults is typically caused by a laxation of the posterior tibial tendon causing the navicular bone to drop and reduce arch. The only way to actually fix this is through surgery. Certain exercises such as calve raises have been shown to help as well, although minimally.

Orthopedic special made inserts designed for your feet is it for me. They are expensive but worth it. Your feet will be sore upon wearing them the first few days because there is added support on your feet that working those tendons. My foot and lower back pain went away.

Yeah, insoles (that are of good quality) will definitely help with your flat feet. I've said it in a comment in a previous video similar to this one but I use Dr. Scholl's custom orthotics/insoles. If you go to their website for these insoles, they'll have you answer a few questions based on your walking activity and natural arch (low, high, neutral, etc.) and it'll recommend you specific orthotics for your feet. I've been wearing a pair of these custom insoles for more than a year and a half and they're the best insoles I've ever used. My left foot is noticeably more flat than my right foot, and I used to get a lot of pain in the arch (I always got pain in both feet but left foot was always worse). I haven't felt pain since I've used these insoles. No joke, I really do recommend it to anyone who is experiencing pain from flat feet; pain in your feet, knees, lower back, etc.

This is super normal. Humans don't hold our weight equilaterally across our feet. We may have a symmetrical number of limbs, but we don't have symmetrical organs, because of this we hold pressure/weight in our body differently. We also tend to move asymmetrically and will usually use one side for something more than the other. Due to this our feet reflect our lifestyles and one is more flat and the other is more arched. You could say that your one foot isn't flat footed, but the other is more arched. It is all perspective on what is really flat and what is really arched. If I had to guess, you are more flat on your left side and more arched on your right side. This isn't an issue, it's normal. When it comes to feet, we want both feet to be able to go flat and go arched. When your foot flattens out it is lengthening (pronating) and when it gets a higher arch it is shortening (supinating). This is how our feet work while we walk. If you want to learn more about it, I recommend looking up Gary Ward (Anatomy in Motion). Pronation is fine. Supination is fine. They are two sides of the same coin. A lot of people (not you) fear pronation, but they want to supinate (forming that arch). In order to form an arch you have to not have an arch to begin with.

None of that even got rid of the ingrown toenails. So last week I went back to get them gone for good. They shoved a anaesthetic needle straight into my toe bones so I would feel pain, that hurt a lot, then started ripping my toes apart to get everything out. I'm not a doctor, but i've suffered of flatfeet for my whole life and i highly doubt it. It's not a joint dislocation/muscule tense problem, it's way more complex, osteopathy massage can only fix those 2 types of plroblem in our body, so if it really helps, it's just an temporary solution. The only two permanent solutions is surgery and feet applicators and none of them is cheap. For example, my applicators costs me mor than 280$, for Russia it's a lot of money. I don't know for sure, but i think that surgery gonna cost a lot more than that and that's not 100% sucsess, can cause a lot of troubles in further. If there was easy way to treat such disease, it would be popular and well known, but it isn't. But hey, if you are younger than 20 you sitll can fix this if not completley, but partially so you don't need that expensive treatment. Pay a visit to an orthopesist or search for particular exercises it will help a lot. If you are older than 20 it's unlikely that you can shape back your feet in normal condition, but those excercises might help you with pain and muscle tense, applicators will pose back your feet into right position, absorb some force and distribute weight, that's the best way of treatment after 20 that i know.

I have had surgery 10 days ago, to fix flat feet and inflammated Tibial Posterior Tendon, the one that runs on the inside of your ankle down. It was done in a minimalistic invasive way, one cut and a few little holes, where the actually cut part of your heel bone and put it back in a different angle so the balance point of your foot changes, together with tightening the tendons it should solve it.

Kinda, chiropractors are mostly just scams, specially this video, temporary relief, they search for a "crack", they think it's bones but it's just air bubbles inside of it, it takes a lot to move bones, they think they can just go and move them with their hands, it's just not good, but I guess there is the honest people out there, so if you know about what you're doing and who is doing it then yeah go ahead, but always ask the doc first.
