I ADORE dogs, but am not a dog owner…but I HATE some dog owners. I’m an ambulant wheelchair user and went to a small food festival with a friend. After about 10 mins I wasn’t doing too well on my legs and resorted to my chair and my friend and I carried on. THEN out of nowhere I had 2 dobermans jumping all over me with their slobbery mouths. Now I’m not scared of dogs but I was now in a chair with 2 UNLEASHED massive death hounds on top of me. I started screaming at the owner and my friend was trying to pull them off me. Owner: “oh they won’t hurt you, they are friendly”, as I’m covered in dog snot and claw marks. Other people were trying to intervene and the owner kept insisting they were friendly (and to be fair they weren’t biting or mauling or anything, just excitedly slobbering over a fat woman in a wheelchair). But at this point I’d had enough and just screamed at her “get your effing dogs off me right now or I’m reporting your dogs to the police for a dog attack”….yeah she soon leashed them and called them back.

I was a at cafe once with my partner and dog. This 6 year old girl was really excited by our dog. The parent left her there with us while they sat at a different part of the cafe blocked off by a wall for like 10 minutes. Like wtf we aren’t your free baby sitter

Every dog owner everywhere. I think the need to own an animal for your own entertainment and company because no one in real life can stand you is a signal that you’re an awful excuse for humanity - your dog would leave you if it could, doesn’t love you and no one else does. Just saying. Keep your animal on a leash, out of every where and clean up after it.

I work in in a large pharmacy chain store and people get so pissed off with me for telling them they can’t bring their dog inside . People will try to argue it’s not against health and safety (after I’ve told them that) because we don’t sell food… one it’s a health care setting just like how you can’t take your dog to the dentist or the doctor and two if you want to be technical we sell snack things at the registers so technically we do actually sell food

That's just uneducated irresponsible dog "lovers" and doodle owners and it anoys me so much to because they spoil everything for everyone. If I take my three dogs out (a Shih Tzu, Working Border Collie and Shetlandsheepdog) to a Cafe or somewhere they are in a strict formal loose lead heel and if I stop walking they automatically sit and then when i sit at a tabe they lay down quietly under my chair/table out of the way until I am finished eating. I certainly do not allow them to make noise, move around or approach anyone or anything. Mine are also not allowed to toilet unless I take them to an appropriate area and give them their break que (when they don't have to be in heel and can sniff and do what they want except pull on the lead until I que them to come back into their heel) and yes always clean up after them. Essentially when out I expect them to behave as though they are a service animal. ITS CALLED FORMAL DOG OBEDIENCE TRAINING PEOPLE! 😅Thanks I needed that rant aswell.

Its called entitlement . Everyone thinks their dog is somehow more special than all the other dogs. They also think their dog is 'friendly' and well trained. If your dog rushes up to people and licks or sniffs them then it is not well trained. People are far too polite to tell you. They don't love your dog. They just want to be left alone.

But my heart just has this Bubba sized cat hole and I know I can never replace her, and never would want to do that, but ugh I just miss her so much. I'm one of those weirdos that sleeps with her ashes next to my head in bed like on my bedside table and bring her into the loungeroom for movies cos she absolutely loved those two things. And I think a year is a solid amount of time where she won't get mad at me for "moving on". Sorry I'm just word salad atm haha. Oh Christian! I am standing here clapping and cheering!!! I couldn’t agree more!!!! Here in Edinburgh, we have cafes that allow dogs, in the Stockbridge area, in one particular Cafe, the sun comes through the window and highlights all the airborne dog hair floating through the cafe. It’s fucking disgusting!!! Also those extending dog leads that go out about 20 ft, The dog stops, the owner keeps walking, pretending to be engrossed in something on the phone, The dog is now like a skier behind a boat taking a shit, then catches up with the pretending not to see the shit owner. I yell out for all to hear…. YOU’VE DROPPED SOMETHING!!!! Pointing at the 💩 PICK IT UP!!!! Or the poo baggers that bag the poo then wedge the bag in a fence or bus stop corner rather than a bin!!! Or the owners that leave their house to let their dog shit at my street facing front door, I’ve a good mind to eat a kilo of asparagus and a heap of borocca and piss against their front doors!!!!
