Being that this is part 12, that dingo must have dropped the backpack back at Toms house and claimed the $500.

Hey Tom, I heard you have a Cycad at home. Be aware that they are highly toxic to Dogs if they eat them. My sons Husky, when it was a pup, took a liking to the fresh light green fronds when the plant was having a growth spurt. A weekend Vet stay, and $1500 later the Dog survived, but it was touch and go for some time. I never knew this, and Ive had them all my life at various places where I've lived. Hope this helps someone.

Time to hide an Airtag (or similar makes) in the important luggage for dingo theft or an accidental drop during a single track.
@MotoRiderTube Жыл бұрын
Airtag won't work out in the middle of nowhere, it needs to connect to a phone (any phone), so someone will have to walk close to the backpack for it to ping a location. Of course it can help if you're close by it and you miss it, but if it's taken more than a few meters into the bush, it's toast.

@Gurbinator Жыл бұрын
Yeah but other people won't necessarily steal your pasta and drop it 30m from camp. Tom states in the video that the ranger also mentioned dingo's taking stuff so you can quite confidently say the dingo's have taken it :)

This! It's well known that the Australian outback is full of Apple devices, shit, even the dingos have iPhones.
@PilotPhteven Жыл бұрын
Unless the dingo has an apple device.. no.. they require apple devices near them to send their location. And even then.. That apple device needs to be connected to the internet in order to send that location.. in the outback... so even if you'd stick an iPhone in the backpack too, it wouldn't necessarily work. Only within xx meters would the AirTag be findable using bluetooth, perhaps 10 meters or so.. so again, not the most useful.
