Taking Magnesium close to my bedtime has been a game changer for me. I stopped taking melatonin when I did my blood work and sensitivity test. Highly recommend this to any beginner when it comes to knowing what’s going on with your body

100%!! I took melatonin for a period of a year, which is not ideal. I switched to magnesium bisglicynate. I sleep much better, I get in a much deeper sleep.

This is me. I’m a nurse. People who work at night gain weight. I gained weight and my A1C went up. I’m actively working to get both down-no more night shifts, taking Mg, having a regular sleep schedule, morning light, yadda yadda yadda.

Yep, that's my experience. I've done rotating shiftwork for over 20 years and in that time gained a lot of weight. Gotta get the hell out of this lifestyle.

Taking melatonin can also increase blood glucose levels. I stopped taking it for that reason.

Same problem. I've found a few helpful things: Try working out during the day, make yourself physically tired; no phone in bed (I read books, which helps focus my mind and fatigue it), no sugar or caffeine after 4 PM. I never tried the Magnesium, but might throw that in too. Also avoid marijuana.

Work out(ideally in the morning). No more caffeine after 14.00/15.00. Slow down with lights 1 hour before bed. Take magnesium bisglycinate 250mg, you can add Apigenin you can also add L-Theanine. Works wonders this sleep cocktail. Also stop looking at the clock when you wake up midnight, it spikes cortisol and overthinking

It creates stress and inflammation in your body that is all....increases your cortisol level, that is why you start gaining weight.

Hack science. Those sleeping less are also often more stressed and snack more. It’s not directly that lack of sleep makes your body gain more weight for the same intake of calories. This guy is talking absolute garbage. People pay him for his “advice”? FFS
