The worst Speedway Referee decision ever!!!

He made others in 1978 & 1982, very controversial.

Worst ref decision for me was 1986 world final when Hans Nielsen took Tommy Knudsens front wheel away!!! Shocker!!!

Yeah Hans got a major slice of luck in 86. Don't get me wrong he probably deserved to be worked champ by then, but Knudsen was really unlucky.

Worst refereeing decision was when Rickardsson was excluded at the Swedish GP (I think) when Loram picked up grip, and put him in the fence.

Kittlesen was always a terrible referee...how the hell he was ever selected for world finals etc baffles me to this day...

82?...there is a video quoting penhall saying "I felt a bump and it was him"..(Carter/)...and Carter fell. But Penhall was in front and "had the line" as they say and penhall was "legal".....but he didn't ride that line usually.. and Carter was behind him..:)

His '82 decision wasn't controversial at all, he excluded the rider who caused the stoppage by falling of his own accord without contact (as replays from all angles showed there was clear daylight between Bruce and The Yorkshireman.) If the '78 decision referred to was Mauger falling against Kennett and Olsen then Mauger himself agreed the only person to blame for that was himself. However on this occasion the only rider to whom any blame could be apportioned was Nielsen who clattered Rasmussen.
