This knife will always hold a special place in my heart. I really like this weapon alot since it seems to always guarantee me 5-7 kills in my first life. But i feel like alot of people miss the point of the YER. Once you get a stab on someone you are already in a good position for where that class would be at which is not easy with stock. Like if a soldier spy checks a pyro and sees he isn't a spy. Then you stab the pyro with the knife and when the soldier turns around he wont spy check you since he already knows you aren't a spy and it actually forces you to use a different disguise rather than picking scout all the time (It's honestly the worst disguise). It's a really good knife if you got your acting skills down to an art (And the silent kill upside is too good) but it's the worst knife if all your doing is activate your Go Go gadget facestabber kunai playstyle with the YER which is what your TRYING to do in the video

Just get a single ammo pack, or if you're really that addicted to the dead ringer (clear sign of a bad spy), hit 2 etranger shots on anyone. Unlike the spycicle, it doesn't have the huge potential to ruin your stabs by being melted by a random pyro that didn't even mean to do it in the first place

the problem is you're using dead ringer with it in a lot of these clips, which is an awful synergy since you can't pick up ammo kits to refill meter for your escape tool OR your disguises

Hate to be that guy, but in addition to everyone else dunking on you for relying on the kunai + dead ringer, I gotta point out that you're using the knife that emphasizes subtlety and believable disguises yet you're starting every single life by spamming 4+1 and running in as a slow scout, aka the literal easiest to spot spy disguise you could ever pick. Spy is at his best when your opponent doesn't know what to expect, and while your deadringer/kunai/big earner can make you unpredictable with little more than slick movement, the YER requires you to think about your plan before you even enter the battlefield and just expecting people not to shoot at a scout that is moving at 75% speed is - unsurprisingly - not a good plan. And in addition to what everyone else said, the dead ringer not only makes its cloak penalty 10x times worse, but screeches in the face of the YER's silent takedown stealth mission like replacing your knife with a frying pan. Its okay if you dislike the weapon, because it admittedly requires a much more patient playstyle than someone like you typically possesses, and that's completely okay. But its good to also remember that spy was designed as a class who is supposed to remain undetected, even if his unlockables enable him to while an entire team by flying through the air and going fisticuffs galore.

How to make eternal reward viable: Remove cloak drain - it's too mean of a downside and makes it basically impossible to use without L'etranger(you can barely cross half of the doublecross bridge with it) Make it take away less cloak on disguise Give it -1 health penalty

ive couple times used the yer in comp pugs with div 3 - prem players and i trickstabbed 2 people with it the 2nd being a prem player with a disguise tha made me slower but the only thing with yer is that u basically have to use the l'etranger with it

Basically you can used YER with redisguise bind key to spent clock meter even when you held dead ringer out . As you lose the ability to used the normal dead ringer effect (feign/perfect clock...) while held a glitch ui , you "gain a exactly 1 hit 75% damage reduction ghostly no clue no sound no cue no delay instantly able to attack the tic after !" You can cheese out some of crit trade trickstab , set-up ambassador head shot around the corner chase , even undisguise bind go for aggressive surf seek .... I had some interesting play myself , and pretty confident about 99% spy main didn't explore it as much as i had
