It is funny to me how after they posted the update, they new it was complete trash and WOULD get bad perception. That's why they are spamming the progress-feed with cool new features to compensate for this update. This update honestly would've been a game changer as long as they made VIP+ not a subscription, toned down the gambling, and just did most things different. It's very disappointing really, but I hope this isn't the end with good updates as the leaks they did post look promising. Atleast some of the powerups are cool

ik it might be a cash grab but atleast it doesnt affect people without the vip plus and its not that bad of a cash grab like look at other td games like ttd or all star td.Plus,one of the best powerups is easy to get.But i think this is a good update cuz the cinsumables are cool and cuz you get multuple per crate.The vip+ isnt something you realy need.The only annoying gambles are the skins but you don't get duplicates which makes the gamble less bad.And also the skins don't affect the games so yeah.

To be honest. I think the Subscription was fair. Since they don't get taxed from it, allowing them to fund more better updates. My 2nd reason is that they been adding a lot F2P content recently, so to help their funding to pay the devs (Which most likely have this as their only pay source) Thats why this is justfied.

To be honest, this isn't BAD. It's not GOOD, but it's not the worst thing to ever come from TDS. TDS has a dev team, and everyone needs to get paid. Considering TDS is actually pretty nice with F2P content and willingly giving it out commonly, the subscription feels more like you're supporting the devs and receiving bonuses like crate luck, 50% EXP, and more. They're also adding monthly rewards to make up for the five-dollar monthly charge, which is a medium price tag for things like this. Overall, I feel like the subscription is more about supporting the developers then being greedy, and to at least cut them a bit of slack.

You get 100% crate luck increase, meaning you can get better skins and more broken consumables easier. The consumables effect gameplay, and the subscription allows you to get better consumables and gives you a higher chance to get the nuke. This gives you an advantage in gameplay and therefor makes the subscription p2w. And even if YOU don’t think it’s p2w, you have to acknowledge how greedy it is. TDS did not cook, stop coping and accept that. You can still play the game, doesn’t mean you have to lie to yourself and say greedy features like this are good.

VIP+ was to help fund money as Roblox taxes 75% from game-passes and 0% from subscriptions. TDS also has a bigger team now, so they need more money. 25% of game-passes and $50 merch items help, but not everyone can buy $50+ merch but they probably can afford 4.99 a month. To be honest, I think that the implementation of this subscription has a real purpose. The developers have been working on this game CONSTANTLY (ex. they released intermediate mode 5 days ago and now we have all these new features + bug fixes + QOL changes), if you couldn't tell. To support the amount of developers employed for this game and to combat the marketplace tax for gamepasses among other things that ROBLOX enforces, I believe this is justified.

they did cook blud. the membership is there as an option to help support the devs. the robux that paradoxum gets is not easily converted into real money and this payed membership along with the plushies and such help support the team behind tds. if you didn't know, paradoxum games has a dev team of 20-30 people. that is a lot of people that need to be payed. plus this is completely optional and only provides small benefits like the normal vip gamepass, nothing overpowered or groundbreaking.

Ok so, gonna say my opinion about this update. Firstly, we should talk about the consumables, now, i don't see any problem with them. Even if they're using the "gambling" system, its not that bad, you literally get 6 consumables per crate, so i don't see a problem in this. Secondly, the vip+. Now this is something that many people consider a "cashgrab", BUT, Belownatural itself said: "Only buy this if you want to support the future development of the game!" so it's not like you need to buy it, just buy if you want. Also about the tower pets, they are gonna be moved to normal vip. So vip+ is just gonna be something "extra" to the game, not a huge deal. (it's not like if you buy it you get all the towers for free fr) And finally, i really think the developers are paying attention to the community, i don't really see the point of not rethinking about something everyone hated. I give this update a 8/10, i see what the devs wanted us to enjoy. (Pls below dont freaking add daily spins) Edit: many people are saying roblox taxes 75% of the gamepasses, and 0% on subscriptions. We have to tell the devs that we don’t like features like these so they know not to add them, and if they need funding, there are better ways of going about that than slowly turning their game into a generic simulator with a tower defense game buried deep under. I may seem like I am overreacting, but the fact that they continue to add features like this makes me worried about the future state of the game, and you should be worried too. They are moving tower pets to a different gamepass or a vip one from the subscription. Alright so I just want to make a big response to some common things I see. 1: "Roblox takes 75%." No, they take 30% it's common knowledge. 2: "It's Roblox's fault." It is and it isn't. Roblox has had its tax for a very long time and devs account for this. TDS could have made extra profits from other things instead of a subscription, they just did it that way. 3: "The subscription is optional." Yes, that is true, but it's the fact that the compromise for extra money was a subscription in the first place. 4:"It's just one bad update." Yeah that is true but it's really just the implications of the update and the fact now that we know that these new TDS updates are not completely bulletproof. I will admit, I was very angry from the update and that's why I made this video so fast lol. I do not have as much animosity for the topic as before but still it just wasn't necessary. That's about all I have to say and I want to thank yall for expressing your opinions because I do love reading them and seeing other perspectives.

Old tds is better even tho the quality is bad and have lower tower and less mode and less skins but why I say old tds is better because the tower was unique I say unique like enforcer john elf archer etc and the skins wasn’t have better quality than new tds but the skins was good using other weapons than using generic guns and can say about lobby songs and sound effects they prefectly match together ok some peolple will pop off And say uhh but you just talk about good side about old tds and not talked about good side of new tds 🤓🤓🤓 I say old tds is better but it is not perfect and new tds is a good game but it kinda gets ruined by the devs greedies like hardcore tower oh god is terrible you have too grind hardcore for like 6 hours to get accel and 12 hours to get engineer which is terrible and grindy I wish they could make other mode give gems and skins they are cool and epic but to get them you need crate or buy them on daily skins but the good skins in the deluxe crates which cost robux and the only way to get them is battle pass which is happens on event etc .

I don’t care what anyone says, but this update isn’t even that bad. Go ahead, scream at me. Yeah, VIP+ is a kick in the teeth for anyone besides content creators, yeah there’s cheap gambling (we’ll just pretend that skin crates don’t exist), and yeah you can’t have your neko dj following you around, but it’s not like this update ruined the game. It was just a nothing burger for some cash that came with an overall decent consumable feature. It’s miles better than overhaul which DID ruin the game for a while. If you don’t like VIP+, then don’t buy it. If you don’t like gambling for power ups, then don’t gamble. You don’t need power ups at all (also, the crates are very cheap. If anything, people like me should be complaining about gambling away 750 coins at a time because we don’t play this game non-stop and grind out 100s of 1000s of coins every week). You don’t need to flex your towers. It’s all optional. Considering that we’ve gotten back to back well made updates until this one update, you can’t whine about it and say “oh tds isn’t back,” and “oh the game is ruined,” because you sound spoiled.

It’s objectively a bad update, people can be mad about that. Why are you acting like you’re so much better and morally correct than everyone else. This update is greedy, plain and simple. People are allowed to be upset over a greedy update like this, as we don’t want the devs to make another one like this again. Your intense coping isn’t gonna help, so just stop complaining about the people complaining, you’re doing as much harm as them. Let’s just enjoy the game and leave people to their own vices.

@@RedLaundryBasket Sorry I offended you. There’s a fine line between over exaggerating a bad update to the point you make it seem like it makes the game unplayable and simply disliking it. I don’t like the update very much myself, but I’m not acting like it’s the end of the damn world. I also think the update is a little greedy because of the VIP thing and how pets are locked behind it. The problem isn’t people not liking a clearly flawed update, it’s the fact that people get all dramatic and say it’s the worst update in history and that TDS is ruined because of one or two bad features.

I have completely quit tds from this. I played the game on and off recently, and now this update has ruined the game for me, I feel like the once loving and nurturing devs have completely abandoned that persona. All gone. Now I am faced with the true colours of TDS just another cash grab simulator. Power ups that cost money. Speeding up the game. Just a cashgrab.

Ahhh haters getting mad because tds updated weekly again :( Ik some people don’t like the “gambling” but they’re skins… They’re optional and mostly add nothing to your game (apart from gold crates, but firstly, it’s not real money, secondly unlike gambling when you never win, you will eventually get every reward)… also the new consumable crates give you like 5 rewards for half the price of a basic crate so you can’t really complain about that. For the subscription, they developers kinda said it was more like monthly donation to help them keep making updates. W update if you ask me, you points were kinda weak too
