THE WORST & THE BEST LIP OIL AT SEPHORA

You know I'm a lip girlie but lip oils might be my favourite! I think I've tried almost every lip oil on the market. What takes the cake every time is Haus Labs! It has a great formula that's not sticky, it last pretty long throughout the day, but I always reapply! It also has a slight tint depending on which shade you pick up, and I love the chubby applicator.

​@@lisasmith8484 a lip oil is never gonna be extremely pigmented, it's not supposed to be. but it's also not supposed to be invisible. the Haus labs one showed up and looked gorgeous, if you want more pigment a lip oil isn't gonna give you better results, you should spring for a gloss instead.

It's not supposed to be pigmented 😂😂 Just a slight tint. What I love is the shine and hydration that it gives. My lips look more hydrated and juicier lol

You can tell the second one has more color and shine. It doesn’t match the color in the bottle because most lip oils don’t.

The second one gave her a tint, which is what a lip oil usually does unless it’s clear (obv) but the first gave her nothing and it should’ve given her a bit of color since it wasn’t supposed to be clear but that’s what showed up

Not just you, only thing going for the second is that it was very dark. And still very very light. If she had picked the same color oil on both brands and showed a difference, then I would agree. But no they’re both what they are, oils 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have a question.. would it have made a difference if you swiped both shades equally? I’m just curious bc the first lip oil you only applied one layer and the Haus Labs you swiped multiple times. That first lip oil color looked stunning so I’m just wondering if the number of coats make a difference.

You need to watch it again, closely. She swiped multiple times to the bottom lip, dipped and swiped multiple times for the top lip. For both oils. One could say even less for HL since it got cut off.

Merit and haus labs are literally the same, Haus has little more pigment because of the shade , but makes no sense that you don’t like merit and love haus. Lip oils are supposed to be sheer❤

I think the amount of shine was diff, haus was way more shiny but I do think that the applicator of each product might be the reason for that ( how much the applicator can carry and apply to the lips, the haus one was way more hugging to the lips)

The best tinted lip oil has definitely got to be the ones from Nooni! Its a Korean brand and it literally stains your lips so beautifully and SO nourishing!!

I think merit has two different lip oils, one that’s sheer and one that’s tinted. I have the tinted shade in Sangria and it’s literally my favorite! It’s smooth, moisturizing, and it gives me a deep, wine color with great pigment.

This applies for everything though. We all don’t like and dislike the same things. Just because something works for one person, doesn’t mean it’s gonna work for the next. You just go and watch certain people you want to get recommendations from. That’s all. If you think she fools individuals that’s on you staying and watching. I didnt see her add a link or anything to fool anyone. She gets nothing from recommending one over the other.

Crystal Kerstal I think you may have read deeper into this comment than you should have… I’m 100% sure when the original commenter said “don’t let her fool you” they didn’t mean the creator of the video was being deceitful or something… a lot of viewers value beauty influencers opinions so they’re encouraging people who are reading the comments to maybe give it a try for themselves because as you said, what works for one may not work for the other. Because clearly the commenter had a good experience with the oil, as well as hundreds of others based on reviews online and they gave their feedback as well. So the “that’s on you staying and watching” is unnecessary and completely changed the tone of your comment…

I love the merit one! it’s such a cute subtle lip oil, and for me it does give lots of color as someone with not so pale lips. I haven’t tried houselabs but from what i’m seeing, that shade looks pretty dark in the tube but not so pigmented on the lips. It seems to me that the houselabs lip oil has less pigment because you used a pretty light shade of the merit and it look almost more pigmented then the houselabs!

I Just wanted to say that I’ve always loved your positive energy and just figured you probably choose to review products that you know you’ll like rather than ones that from experience , you could tell wouldn’t be good for you or suit you .
