Personally, i think there not being a huge emphasis on the giants giick is a good thing since in imaginators they can’t stop talking about the crystals, or in superchargers where you NEED at least 3 vehicles. The giants are the only skylanders that feel like an actual legend rather than activision wanting more money

Swap Force's long levels, yes bad. But what does help is RUFUS' MONOLOG that is unskippable the first six to ten times you reload the world up. Like PLEASE be QUIET. Imaginators, although it tried, had a pretty bad customization range for the Imaginators (and how you get those parts to start with)

For me it goes like this. Spyro's Adventure: It should've had more of an Spyro themed story instead of one giant fetch quest. Giants: The 3DS version is more likely or not the worst handheld for Skylanders. Swap Force: I dislike the change in art direction and it felt slow. Trap Team: You shouldn't need every Trap Member to unlock the gates. Superchargers: It's much, much too hard to collect gold for upgrades. Imaginators: It felt incomplete and much too short.

when u mentioned the “price” as the biggest issue for trap team I thought u meant more the cost of entry. the starter pack, 4 level packs, a trap of each remaining element(6 in total), a trap master for each remaining element(7 in total) and the kaos trap. that’s a lot of shit to have to buy to unlock all the content in the game

SSA: levels can be very short SG: the final battle. You don’t fight kaos, just his minions and the fist. SSF: the level length. Way to long. STT: how much you have to pay to 100% the game. SSC: the sky vehicle zones and the boss fights with the Land vehicles. SIM: everything.

Problems i have with imaginators: -Sensei skylanders are OP -The story line is quite weard -ther are onaly 10 levels -you are forced to get a sensei of each element -The brein, what the actually frik is happening, you defeat and punnish Chaos, byt the brein not... I am onaly doing weard levels that doesn't make sense. -Designs of some characters changed (Persephone be like) -the stort line is sooo confusing, why is ther onely 1 off those creator guys still alive? -Wear is master eon? His part of the story is still weard. And now a main thing: Why are the powers of the Spellpunks changing?

One of my least favorite aspects that showed up starting from swap force that progressively got worse was power creep. I loved how every skylander still felt strong in giants. Now compare how strong an imaginator is to all the figures you’ve grown fond of from the previous games after you really level it up.

SSA: Haven't played Giants: Haven't played Swap Force: R u f u s, seriously I don't care about the time trials I just want to play the damn game. Trap Team: The glitches, I encountered a soft lock once and I had to start the level from the beginning again. Superchargers: The vehicle sections don't feel that fun most of the time. Imaginators: The story. It feels very mediocre and it's inconstant with lore that was established in previous games and when things aren't consistent it drives me mad.

There's something that I did notice about the skylanders trap team trailer is that wolf gang is an undead villain, but the kids use a water trap to capture him and I was like "were you able to originally trap any villain in any trap without needing the right trap?". You can actually look back at it and look closely at what trap they use

Worst thing about every Skylander Game SSA: It’s kind of aged poorly I understand that this was the first Skylanders game but there’s just a lot of things that have not aged well at all like the graphics and the fact that characters can’t jump independently. Giants: It’s Unoriginal I definitely agree with you. The game just feels like a giant expansion pack of the first game and the levels just kind of lack any type of originality. But the Oracle Level was pretty cool. Swap Force: Annoying NPC’s I don’t know what but I always found the NPC’s in this game to be really annoying. Trap Team: Only Trap masters can open Elemental gates. This pisses me off mainly because it just forces you to buy more figures. But what’s even worse is all of those figures you’ve collected in the past are pretty useless because in order to 100% the game you have to have all Trap Master of ever element. Superchargers: Vehicle Sections The Vehicle sections in this game were just tedious and not needed. That’s all I’ve got to say. Imaginators: The story and levels The Levels in this game come off as really boring and bland. There just an absolute bore to get through. But the story on the other hand is completely stupid and doesn’t make any sense.

I'm pretty sure there's just something wrong with my copy of Giants, but my biggest issue is that my Skylanders lose all recently collected exp. treasure and upgrades when taking them off the portal. It's so frustrating and the only fix I've found is either equipping a hat or triggering an autosave before taking them off. It's just as tedious as it sounds and just ruins Giants for me.

Spyro's adventure: the skylander's voices. they changed them in giants, and that being my first game, hearing sunburn and eruptor sound completely different made me kinda dislike the game a bit. still a great game though. Giants: Not really one big thing I have a problem with here, just two small ones. One is the game's length, as it is a bit short, but not too bad. The second is the amount of new skylanders, as we only get 2 for each element and a bunch of reposes in series 2 and lightcore (why so many reposes? I leke some of them, but it feels a bit excessive). Swap Force: Levels are too long, yadda yadda yadda, easy complaint. I also dislike how the portal master system worked if you wanted to complete the game, as it counted variants as well, so you needed all variants now too, unlike the first two games (that's if you are crazy enough to get every skylander... heh...). Trap Team: The amount of characters they made was a problem to me, but the insignificance of core skylanders in the game upset me a lot. Why make new cores of only trap masters can open elemental gates? If this and ONLY this were fixed, I would like this game a TON more. Superchargers: Driving is fine in the game, they just do it too much in certain levels. The first level does this well, but some like the shrinking level just do driving too much imo. Imaginators: If we're talking gameplay, it's definitely the inability to reset imaginators (unless you cheat the system with a copy of giants on wii). Otherwise it's the availability of the senseis. These games are great, not flawless, but great nonetheless.

I haven't played every Skylanders game, and, most of the ones I have played, I haven't played them in a while, so I can't judge them that strongly (Trap Team's amount of Traps needed, necessity for Trap Masters of every element, and poor distribution of Light and Dark Skylanders notwithstanding). But, I still play Imaginators to this day (I'm even playing it right now, as I'm typing this comment), so I can certainly give it some judgement. And, even though I do like it, I will admit that it's quite flawed (however, it did give us my best girl, Boom Bloom, so I'll give it at least one pass on that merit alone). But, my biggest complaint with it (apart from what you said about how terribly the Senseis were distributed, which I wholeheartedly agree with) is the inability to reset battle classes on Creation Crystals. So, if you buy your Crystals secondhand, which is pretty much the only option nowadays, you're stuck with an Imaginator that isn't your own, which is absolute horseshit.

Lemme be real with you for Trap Team. Fantastic game and very charming graphics, probably the best-looking one in the series. The traps felt so ingenious and fun, trapping digital characters into your world. But here's the thing - even though the game lets you get by without needing to trap villains after their defeat, I would purposefully not continue the game until I found an elemental trap for the Doom Raiders, including Kaos. I was lucky enough to get all of the right elemental traps for them. And yes, Kaos too - I got his trap from Amazon in a three-pack that also had the Earth trap I used for Golden Queen. But imagine an alternate timeline where I never finished the main game because I wasn't lucky enough to get all the right traps. Scary.

SA: Way too easy levels G: Machine Ghost came back to life out of nowhere. I guess it’s supposed to be a surprise but cmon just felt like an ass pull. SF: Levels were too long and a lot of levels look the same TT: Too many figures S: Forced vehicle sections. Just imagine levels that were pretty long but you could speed them up by choosing to take the vehicle sections. I: Too many things to have a worst. There’s the characters, the story, not being able to switch imaginator classes without glitching, previous skylanders being too weak compared to imaginators and senseis, senseis increasing level cap so you’d want to buy them all, poor shipping, uninspired music because Lorne Balfe stopped working for Skylanders, and more things I’m definitely missing

the thing I hated the most about spyros adventure and giants is the fact that when u play with your brother, cousins, friends etc. and you collect gold that only the collector gets it, so it was always stressful if you found a chest and one got more gold than the other one. Good points, but I completely disagree on Giants. Yeah, that's true, the new kind of figures was not so innovative, but the game itself added a lot of stuff, Arena battles, Skystones (still best skylanders minigame imo, if only the opponents weren't so weak), ring out battles. For me personaly, it's rather a bit like SSA was a demo for Giants and Giants was the real precursor of the series, because most of the stuff and challanges in the next games was some kind of an evolution for what was in Giants. If we're considering figures only, I can agree, not a lot has changed, but the game itself was a huge change. Good job on the video, anyways!

I stopped at trap team cause I kinda grew out of skylanders and they were really expensive. It also sucked that you need a trap master of every element to unlock the gates. I just collected 10 skylanders and 5 traps in total for trap team cause I started to hate the greed. At least I made wise decisions and got some rare ones like Blackout, Spotlight, Blastermind and Shortcut.

It's because the Skylanders nostalgia wave has started comin in, that's how I found my way here and the same could be said for many others I guess. We've all started remembering that these were very good and unique games and want to come back to them, and I applaud the already existing community of those who never forgot that.

Both SSA and giants feel like they have a lack of in game bosses with most of them being Evil counterpart fights. The common complaint about swapforce is that the levels are equivalent to two or three levels. Trap team had the oversaturaion of the gimmick. Superchargers had too much emphasis on the vehicle sections. Imaginators is just Latest game scarcity.

Swap Force is my favorite game out of all of them, because there is so much replay value and it was the last game to have pvp. I know you don't like the levels being so long, but I honestly don't mind it at all.

SSA: Character roster is small but that's understandable. SG: No Issues SSF: Eon's Swap Force Challenges STT: PS3 SSC: These were expensive holy- SI: Any figure that wasn't from Imaginators is impossible to play above easy difficulty. (I REALLY HATE THIS ISSUE)

I haven’t played SSA or Giants (because I don’t have any of the consoles that play them) so I’ll just talk about the ones after them. Swap Force: This is my favorite Skylander game (probably because it was my first) and I really love the artstyle and characters (especially the Skylanders) but the levels are WAY too long. Trap Team: This is my least favorite Skylander game because of the artstyle and the need to buy a Trap Master of each element and the need to get rare dark and light element Skylanders/traps and the game has my LEAST favorite and memorable Skylanders (Like who remembers Bat Spin???) not to mention that the game can be a bit buggy sometimes. Superchargers: My second favorite game from the games I played, I love the Skylanders and the characters as well as the story, however while I do like the sections with the vehicles where you race across a track, the areas where you have to control a vehicle through an arena is quite tedious because of how vehicles control. Imaginators: The game’s creation gimmick and the fact that older Skylanders actually played a part in the story were interesting ideas but the actual implementation doesn’t feel as fleshed out as it should have been.

weren’t swap forces levels split into two parts? i see people complain about the length but i’ve heard you can just leave the level once you hit that midway point and return from there. pretty sure superchargers did the same thing

I seriously don't understand why you couldn't jump in SSA and Giants. Why did it take until swap force for this to happen? On top of that, i think you could ALWAYS jump in the 3DS games. On top of running: which also isn't in any of the console games, except maybe for a select few like free ranger

ssa: dont have issues w it tbh. sg: too short and the hub world wasn't fun to explore, huge let down after the island from ssa. ssf: the duel elemental gates, and levels were too long. stt: way too much stuff necessary to 100% the game, most of that stuff impossible to get at a decent price now. ssc: haven't played it yet, just ordered the game so we'll see si: the lack of levels and it has no replay value due to the levels being boring.

I personally like long levels, so Swap Force doesn’t bother me, but it’s all about preference. What I rlly hate about imaginators, are the crossover characters. This was just an integrated advertisement for Activision’s other games.

SSA: unpolished, levels ended way too quickly and many levels felt to similar SG: Perfect game, this is not totally my nostalgia speaking SF: I personally didn’t have the issue with the length of the levels, I don’t have any problems with the game TT: Way to expensive to unlock all content SC: Forced land vehicle sections I: The entire game. Just the entire game start to finish.

Ssa: none my nostalgia won't let me Sg: I replayed and i still love it Ssf: fr way too long, and it felt like they copied the og cast of characters, and the jump button was weird for me when I first played Stt: e x p e n s i v e, it hurt when I couldn't catch kaos in my first playthrough Ssc: It felt way too focused on vehicles, and they screwed over my boy, Chop Chop Si: I barely had any of the skylanders, mostly played for my imaginitor

These were sooooo boooooring!! Trap team: I really want to love this game. I really do. But during my last playthrough, I’ve had the game bug out of existence five times. Five times!! Also fuck that last Kaos fight Superchargers: haven’t finished yet Imaginators: agree with you. The prices are insane. It costs as much to buy one mini for that game as to buy all minis for early games, just HOW?

Trap team is my third favorite Burt my biggest issue with it is that I had access to Walmart target and Best Buy as a kid and everytime I went there the only elements there for skylanders and traps were life water and earth and my mom never let me go to toys r us cuz it was expensive so I played the game and beat it with garbage 🤠

Giants and SA: Never played Swap Force: Poor story imo, levels are pretty but tedious. Feels a bit disjointed from the other games in terms of presentation. Trap Team: My favorite game, but elemental trap gates are a pain and skylanders, traps etc. could be less expensive. (Although the pricing is more of Activisions/Blizzards fault than the game itself.) Supercharges: Uninteresting concept, (I didn't play this one much) Imaginators: Reused models 0_0 (I didn't play this one much either)
