there has been a few times I had class detentions because of the others. 1. It was like having a drill sergeant screaming at us for the sake of it. 2. We had to answer questions (to the subject at the time) If you got it right, you can leave, if not, your stuck there until your turn comes again. If not, you repeat the process until only you are left. 3. Run a marathon. Yes. This didn't happen often, but track race, or cross country happened a few times. 4. Stay behind and help the teacher. 5.Stand there for an hour with your fingers on lips and hands on your head. And let me just say, it does become uncomfortable for a while. 6. Being a teacher's messenger bird. For a whole day, you have to carry messages to other staff members. 7. Talk in the school assembly about subject matters that are important to you (luckily this was rare) 8. Doing Homework, or lines and then have it ripped up when the session ends. 9. Tidy up classroom, stack chairs away, one at a time. 10.Clean underneath the tables for gum or other crap that is there. 11. One rare times, detention birds had to be a secretary all day, using the telephone. (Odd punishment I know). 12. Accompanying teachers to P.E lessons and hold the equipment 13. Laps around the school in the rain with your P.E kit. 14. Picking up litter, sometimes with a gadget with your hands. 15. Canteen duty. Dressed for it, you go around making sure every plate was clean. 16. Bin Duty. 17. Cleaning and polishing Rugby boot togs

I find it quite hard to sit in silence and not talk to whoever is next to me so this happened to me so much that I just used four or five pencils to write out my page in a minute or two 😂😂😂

I got a C1 (Half an hour denetion) because this kid was pushign my mate and me around liek physically so i wen tin his bag got his pencil case and kept it form him. I got the denetion. I was in the denetion said what happened, and the teacher said that kid got what he deserved because he didn't hsow up to his C1 he got a C2 (1hr denetion) and a message to "mommy". I only served 20 minuites instead of 30.I belive if she agreed jsut wipe it of my record for the year. Clean streak till the "fuck up"

My English teacher gave the whole class a detention after one kid swore at him and after a whole day of panicking(bc my whole friend group has strict parents) we went to the detention just to be sat down for 1 minute and told it was a test to see which of his students would actually go to it. When i was in school, i would pretty much get detention for the same reason. I'm autistic, i kinda got inside my own head quite a few times, when i finally pulled myself out of it, I'd forget what i was meant to be doing but in order to not look weak, I'd just not ask for help and i guess my teacher seemed to have perceived that as refusing to do the work so I'd get sent to the improvement room for 3 lessons than back in there for after school detention. Even my mum didn’t agree with that.
